  1. FWIW - GC just like any other candle will smoke if you don't trim the wicks. And I can promise you it does not cost $5,000 to sell them as a demonstrator, that's only if you want to be the distributor.
  2. Becky at Just Scent has a great one pour wax. It's called JS123
  3. Oh, so nice and creamy looking. Great colors too!!
  4. I have both but was using an electric one. I guess I could try it in a tealight burner. I just gave my sister some the other day I will have to give her a call letting me know what she thought. Hopefully she can smell them and it's just candlenose for me. I have had some good success with this mixture. But it's just lately where I am not smelling the tarts. I just don't get it! I don't remember who gave the suggestion of mixing a container wax with this votive wax but I was all for it as I had heard that people were not having much success with the votive wax on it's own. This wax is almost gone and I won't be ordering more! I will either get more 4794 or go to straight paraffin!
  5. Correct! I can smell them and they are strong when they are cold but melt them and you can forget begin able to smell them. The FO is from ICS and I would say less than 6 months for sure. Maybe it's ME!
  6. Yes, they do really want that much and can deny a claim if something breaks and the proper amount of cushioning was not used. (esp. if it's a HIGH $ claim) Anything under a cubic foot does not go by size. Once you get over that cubic foot then the prices really start adding up.
  7. This is really frustrating. These should be the simplest things in the world to make and enjoy since there is no wick issues or anything involved but I have hit a wall this time. I made a batch at least a week ago of tarts. Using 14 oz of 4761 and 2 oz of J223 and 1.5 oz of FO. I get a WONDERFUL cold throw yet for the life of me when melting them I can't smell them!!! edited: because I need to learn how to spell... LOL
  8. I use to work for UPS and have to say these are all standard questions. Ones I use to have to ask everyday. UPS wants you to have 2-4 of peanuts as well as 1-2 inches of bubble wrap around your items. The reason being is they will treat that box even though it's marked fragile just like the next one. They all go on a conveyor belt to get scanned and then tossed into a bin. If you only knew how that box was treated!
  9. Thanks Moo! I was starting to get worried about you!!
  10. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!! Now I guess my next dumb question is, if you are using a hot plate do you place the pan on the plate, then put water in it, then the pour pot floats in it?
  11. Ok, my question is how do you keep yours warm if you do not have a stove near your work space? We recently bought a house and with this one I was lucky enough to be blessed with my own work area down in the basement. Now without going out and purchasing a oven I am wondering how you all do it. Right now I am using a Nesco cooker. (smaller verison of the turkey roaster) TIA!
