One day... working a a factory..where items are shipped out..People will call and say they didn't get a item....The box must then be returned and weighed in...as they know what the weight was when it was shipped out...after that they have to figure...what has happened and where...UPS has to deal with all kinds of strange situations...In all fareness..If you give two inches on all sides..Your box will be able to withstand multi-boxes on top in the trucks..and pressure crusing...Two inches of insulation packing will cause the box to be in a flotation mode..Like being in a airbag...Kind regards,linda

I'll start ordering some small quanities of wax from these company's...I found less smoke from the wicks from www.wicksunlimited.com I found they don't carbon cap as bad...I noticed they don't carry that extra wax coating over the zinc core braid..Maybe that has something to do with it..thanks so much!!.Kind regards as always,linda

Sounds like(the wick) is carbon capping...???What size wick are you using???I'll go check them out shortly(the site)...Thank you,linda

thanks for the imput..I am looking for something soft like the j-50..But, for (something), that won't shrink as much..this last batch I had did some serious shrinking..I alwas allow for it..But, the shrinking was about 1/8 of an inch and it even came up away from the jar..Never had it done that before..It may be the hot texas weather??...My soy customers like the soy I use..But, I notice it has such a oil feel and sometimes locks in the scent..this isn't always good..I was told I could put up to 2 ounces of scent in the soy...which almost caused my heart to stop...Never,in my years of making candles have I ever had to add two ounces...of scent..Kind regards,linda

Hello, I have used all the single pours of honeywell..I like J-50.I purchased another type of soy (30 %)and 50 percent...soy for my soy devoties..from another company.. I been looking at peaks single pour wax.Looking for anyone who uses it..to Pm me and let me know what you like about it...etc.Thank you,linda

Natural truly doesn't seem to mean to much by FDA information.FDA bylaws on Natural/Pure etc....However,organtic etc..(internal) use is explained more I beleave..Lye is Lye. However,in soap it is not!!! Why???Because you have altered its state into something other then lye..., Lye is a toxin/acid and a health hazad if inhaled...or touched ...In soap it is no longer lye.Wish I could explain better...Dyslexia overdrive today...Kind Regards,linda

As a Antiques collector/seller..We keep up to date on current trends..and I remember reading (kovel's) article mentioning candles were a collectable item for the furture...I have some old vintage candles.(You know the ones you burn down to the next age level..)These are from the fifty's and in the box...It's part of my soap collection(my airline soaps are my favorite part of my collection)..I will be placeing these in my candle/soap warehouse oneeeee day.Kind of like a mini museum..Kind regards,linda

Just got in last night from a show...Not only was one candle maker rude to the other candle dealers..She started cutting her prices..to undercut them..She also did this with other items she came with..I still sold and never changed prices..But, by the end of the show..(I got the impression***they ask her not to return to this show..)..I try to be as nice as I can even with people I can tell are out to stab you in the back..I have seen them come and go over the years..and crooks soon run out of GASSSSSSSSSSSS.Kind regards,linda

I love meeting other soap/candle makers..We are getting ready to have a meeting at my place...shortly...Once when I was set up at a expensive show one weekend with just soaps..probably close to a thousand bars..CP and MP.. I was out buying from other soap makers...I just couldn't help myself..Can't resist a soap stands..So, I carry my goodies back..and my husband is just shaking his head and stat's..."Don't you think you have enough of your own??? Guy's you are not false advertising..Many items are weight controled by the jar itself...When you go to the store..Do you take the can or jar home..Pour out the contents weigh the container then seperate the juice weigh it..then the product itself??? If the jar is stated 8 or 16 etc..etc..that is what should be stated unless you are selling scents per pound instead of liquid ounces in a 16 ounce bottle...Kind regards,linda

Isn't MP great...Don't be afraid to try using small 3-d candle molds with MP..They remove so easy..However,thought I would mention for small embeds..You,may wish to add...Choking Hazard...on these soaps...Kind Regards,linda

Yes, I agree..If something looks or comes dirty...It should be complained about..However,in all fairness..Where does everyone think...Plastic and paper goes.??? Diapers take 500 hundred years before de-composing..Plastic milk containers etc. etc.. If you go to a land fill..and start digging..You would be amazed at finding out...that layers and layers of paper will still be intact.When, I use shredded recycled paper ..it comes from local banks etc..However,they use a cross cut...shedder.This cuts two different ways..).Now, I do wonder about the credit card papers??..Businesses must keep them for several years...by Law.....and should never give them out..The owner of Sun feather is a lovely person ...Her book isn't bad either...From what she has written...*How to run a successful herbal Bodycare Business By Sandy Maine*.I beleave they truly recycle for the good of the earth....a truly wonderful storie...of hard work to riches....I recycle my plastic bags..I decided long ago to do my part and not leave a wasteland for my children's children...Cardboard boxes are like packaging...You pay, many times more for the package then the content...kind regards as always,Linda Graf(Cameo Bath Accessories)
