I meant refreshing, but was eating and yummy came out on paper, LOL! can it be added with ANY of the oils used in soap, in reference to cocoa butter that has a smell to it anyway or would I need refined cocoa butter, the non scented kind? Was thinking maybe it made a funny smell mixed

has anybody ever used tea tree oil in a soap recipe that has come out yummy? Wanted a simple soap recipe to use tea tree oil in as I found 100 % pure tea tree oil at walmart yesterday and thought it would be nice in some soap

I thought about that and thought maybe you could use a size smaller wick than usual so it would tunnell just a little deeper, just a thought

I was just a a Meijers and saw the most beatiful pillars and they were wrapped in whole bamboo sticks, it looked as if they were sitting in the mold when poured, has anyone tried this? I am not sure how to accomplish it but gonna try go find me some bamboo and put on my thinking cap. Just thought maybe someone else has done it and could give me some tips, thanks

I did read somewhere that somebody soaks a muslin cloth in FO and then wraps the soap in it then in plastic and lets it sit for week or so till it soaks it up, I will try that and give my results in a few weeks, but my friend also said that some people do not like perfumed soap they like the natural scent.

The GM one did not curtle, and I let my friend smell it today and she said it hardly has a smell at all and to her it did not smell bad just smelt like all natural soap to her, and the hazelnut one the smell has gone completely. But I was just wondering if there was a way to add FO after your batch was done, but I read that you can soak something in FO and then wrap your soap in it for a week and that should work fine. And sry bout filling up the forum with so much I'll back off, I would have condensed all my thoughts and questions had they come at the same time, as I ran into a problem or question then I asked for answers but I will cut back on asking, thanks to all who helped I'm done for a while

the hazelnut one does not smell tooo bad, this one just has Olive oil, crisco, coconut oil, cocoa butter, sesame oil, GM oatmeal and honey but smells UGLY !

I made a nice soap using GM, oatmeal and honey but it does not smell so good, LOL. It is in the jell phase now so is there a way to add FO after the soap has set? It really stinks!

I cheated! I got the first batch of soap I made, the almond pateries one I made and used it in the tube, and all I can say is OMG! I will never never buy another bar of soap, it was great! My lather was awesome and the scent was to die for, I feel so clean, as we have well water here, you never really feel clean cause it sits in a systren till we use it and again OMG, I love it and thanks to all of you who helped me and if you are sitting back thinking of making soap I suggest you do cause it is GREAT!

I added hazelnut oil to my recipe and it is shewwee stinky, is this normal, has anyone ever used it and experienced it? gotta find a scent to cover it or will it go away?

wont the natural color of the soap affect the dye color?

Okay the name I chose for my company is taken, so now I need some help and will offer a small prize to the winner, The name I wanted was Country Girl Candle. But now I want to add bath and body to my line, I want a name that is similar but want the bath and body or something along those lines in it too. 1) County Candle and body sounds corny and thats as much as has come to my mind. Do not want it too long eather, so any help will be greatly appreciated as I am having someone help me design my logo but have no permenent name to use, please help, whichever one I pick I will send a small award too for your help. I am so sad about my other name 2) I like, Country candle and soap

My rebatch came out looking like chewed up bubble gum, guess if it sets up harder that will be the one I give to al my friends to test out, but its cute.

so you need lower condition too if its teen skin , taking for granted that teen skin is normally oilier, so go alot with coconut oil, will harden and SUPPOSED to be drying
