Has anyone tried wood wicks with gel wax. Just wondered if they would smoke less.

I always loved KY's Lemon Chiffon Cake now AH/RE.

Try your own firestarter and see for yourself. I don't have a fireplace, stove or firepit so I took one to the back yard and placed on a rock, lit, and watched it burned up. That way you can tell them what yours does. I gave one to neighbor with a fireplace, she lit the wick and the whole thing was on fire in no time with the flame being spread by the wax. Looked cool.

That's true, forgot about that part of it. I will only try a little at a time. Seems like eye shadows last forever even if they are pressed. Wonder what they are pressed with. I tested some with rubbing alcohol and it turned too hard. Maybe I should try Vodka.

Tkb sells supplies for pressing. I am sure if you googled, you could find a more natural recipe for pressing.

Really, supplies for pressing, what company? I have already spilled several eye shadows on my carpet and it doesn't come out. That's why I would like to try natural MM pressed. Have you seen what's in the retail stuff. yuck. Also I really wanted to say your fall colors are really nice. So is your site.

So, how would one shrink them to fit our Status jars?

That's the main thing I'm worried about. The fact that the caps will be sent to us damp and just thrown in a box, getting bent and miss shaped. At least that is what I think he is saying. And is the price $ 73.00 per 1000 plus $50.00 set up. Or if we order 20M then the price will be $73.00 per M. I'm sure the cost will be more if we order 1500 caps. Not sure but I don't want to take a chance that they will not be perfect when we get them.

I was really hooked on buying the MM a few years ago. And still have a bunch of stuff to play with. Love it and have made eye shadows, lipstick, powders. Need some bronzer for myself just haven't taken the time to make it. For myself I don't want any glitter, too old and wrinkled. Love the mauve colors they are hard to find in matte. I always bought from http://www.tkbtrading.com/ and have a few eye shadows on their recipe area. It is not a cheap business to get into but it is fun and messy. I'm not a careful person and I could not keep myself from getting it all over.

Are your shadows matte? Have you found a way to press the shadow? I tried several things but one of the things, can't remember what it was called, turned the powder into a marshmallow feeling glob.

I use the CD12 with the square mason and I always twist the wick 3-4 times. Using 435 which is 415 with a little cotton seed. Also use 1.5 for most scents. Lately my candles are burning hotter, bigger mushroom, but it might just be the batch of wax.

yep, I personally didn't like silicone for palm wax. I never did try any other waxes, but it was too time consuming (for me) to deal with scraping out the residue left behind.. To each their own.

I can see where it is a pain when it sticks to the mold. All I'm saying is palm wax or any other wax will not contaminate the mold.

BW Honey Gingerbread is soo smooth. You could add a little of your Gingerbread to theirs. I love BW's Gingerbread better than anyones.

Starting with the smallest amount we would have to order. Also how are these packed? Are they just thrown in a box or stacked with divider ? Thanks again

If so, the minimum purchase is 1 full carton of 1500 caps, plus a $50 set-up charge. No here’s the issue. The 3” paper cap that you removed from our tube was shrunk down to fit that specific tube. The caps we send you will be damp right off the press. I wanted you to be aware of this.

Can't believe you really think that could happen. If you are so concerned then wash your mold with soap and hot water. Lately I have been throwing my molds in the washer with towels. they really come out clean after that. I have used silicone molds for 13 years now. All kinds of wax and I do get a white film, sometimes. But it will come off with a heat gun and a good wipe or washing. I usually prop in front of a fan to dry quicker. I have a t-lite mold and always pour container wax for them. Also most of my embeds are part container wax. So pour away.:smiley2:

NG's has the best I have smelled. Does great in soy.

This annoyance is secondary to the greatness of this spray!

Really? This spray is a lot better than others? I have tried a bunch and make my own but none have thrilled me. I'll have to order some.

I have added vanilla stabilizer as a test in bought unscented lotion. Used Vanilla Bean Noel FO in both and Van Stab. in the one. The one with the van stab turned but not near as dark as the one without. It turned a very light tan, looked nice. Where the other without van stab. looked med tan. HTH

You are a great decorator. How you made them look so real, I haven't a clue. Wish I had just a little of your talent.

Here's a couple of quick pics. Not great but was in a hurry. I'll try to post a better one later. I tried the cap on 6 different Status jars and it fit them all. Snug, but it fit. I like them snug, anyway. Not sure why he insists they won't fit. The tube in the pic is the one the lid came off of.

Wow, I got my samples from Custom Paper Tubes today. They sent a bunch and the craft paper cap/lid fits the jar from Dollar Store perfect. Just as above. Got a brochure but no price list. Has anyone got prices from them for the 3" cap?

Also got 2 samples from Chicago Paper Tube, very nice but neither fit this same jar. One (3.085") is a little too small and the other (3.265") is too big. The larger of the 2 is colored black, looks nice but it doesn't fit my jar. No price on these either.

I just want to say the are so cute. Can't tell what the 3rd one is or how they got such cute paw prints. The 2nd one looks like glue was painted on the jar then rolled in seeds.

I love Mulberry in soap.
