  1. Jason from GB feels that a composition of 90-95% soy wax, and 5-10% universal soy additive, increases max FO retention to about 20% total, for the wax. Now, having said this, and, assuming it's true (and I did verify with him we were talking about a 20% total load, as opposed to INCREASING BY 20%), my questions are two-fold: 1-Would this much USA have the same effect as adding too much Vybar, which binds the oil and actually weakens a wax's hot throw? 2-Would adding this much USA change the wax's properties, such as melt point, etc?
  2. Well, giving away the glass is cheaper than giving away the tins. You can buy from cudge.net, and, those votive holders are much less expensive, than the tins, even in the 2 ounce sizes.
  3. Isn't too much fragrance oil, or too thick/heavy a fragrace oil possibly also a cause?
  4. Yes, but, her concern was not going with a different wax, and molds, etc. Her goal was to use the same was as she was using for her containers.
  5. Votives, inside holders, can't be too expensive to make, considering they don't hold much wax, or FO. How about giving them away, free with purchases, of "x" dollars or more, as kind of a way for your customer to sample another of your scents? I know there are already companies doing this with the 1 or 2 ounce tins, but, it's a thought. A nice, pretty votive, free with purchases of $50 or more.
  6. What is it that causes a wick to clog? I've heard this mention but not quite sure whether or not I've seen it happen. What does a "clogged" wick do or look like and what causes it?
  7. Not sure what you mean but, if you buy by the pallet, you pay significantly less with Greenleaf too, so, I'm not sure what you mean.
  8. In all fairness, while it is more expensive, it's also 60 pounds (roughly) per case, as opposed to 50 pounds for the soy that you use.
  9. Should have known? Your threads aren't really the only things on my mind.
  10. Not sure where you are looking but, you can get sample packs anywhere. Peak, BCN, BCS, and on and on and on.
  11. By the way, in the PM's, you weren't exactly "nice." What you said was that you would provide information if I stood up for you in the other threads that you were being attacked (in the business forum), and, in looking at those threads, I can't really stand up for you (for obvious reasons), so, I'm going to pass on the information, but thanks anyway.
  12. LOL. Oh nooooooooo.......Say it aint so.........Please, Please, Please........I was tired of reading it cause it was preachy and had nothing to do with what I, or anyone else, was asking. As for your "help" you didn't help me, or anyone else anyway, so, what is the difference? Some people just like to feel important and, if keeping a "secret" makes you feel important, I'm all for it. Although, I do thank you for the tip on my ability to learn, although I've done alright for myself so far in life.
  13. Atkins and Pearce. They are the cotton cored wicks carried by any and every supplier out there.
  14. Not sure what on earth ANY of that has ANYTHING to do with ANY of what I said, however, I'm pretty tired just from reading it.
  15. Huh? Is it just me, or is this type of code speak a bit perplexing, and just a tad bit annoying?
  16. Shouldn't this be posted in the thread, for the benefit of all, as opposed to via PM (considering that it is a message board)?
  17. It sounds like you just described the most common type of cotton cored wick...the AandP one that most any supplier out there carries.
  18. I hope this isn't "Soy Pro" we're talking about...cause I've tested, and, it stinks.
  19. I'm pretty sure most people do. Don't you? Otherwise, what was the purpose of your post? You didn't really answer her question, and, you didn't really give any specifics.
  20. By the way, if you don't want to try the Low Smoke Zincs, you might give the Premiers a second chance (or ask them about their 600 series, which is more specifically for paraffin, where the 700 Premiers are more geared towards soy). I say that because, there isn't a wick type out there with THIS many options in terms of sizes. You MUST be able to find something that will work, at least in terms of size.
  21. This isn't an overly popular wick however, I've had VERY good results this far (although with a completely different wax, and jar style), with the Low Smoke Zinc cored wicks from WSP. They have really proved to be excellent wicks thus far. I highly recommend them, and, they have a good number of sizes. I'm fairly certain you can find one to work in your jar.
