I use Optiphen Plus. It has worked very well for me so far.
Ditto that.
-
that should be halloween soap cuz I see scary faces on the soap all the way to the left (first picture with 2 bars).
-
Those are adorable, but dumb question, what are the "tags" for?:embarasse

I came across a small sample size of lotion, I don't remember what swap it was but it was a few years ago. I was in a hurry this morning and dry shaved my legs, lol TMI I know, anyways like I said I came across that lotion and threw it on real quick. Here I am sitting at my desk almost 8hrs later and alls I can smell is that lotion, some kind of floral scent- rose maybe. Ahh it smells soooo good.

Good luck, I have been looking for a nice simple "less is best" type recipe for ever.....

Four Seasons Bath & Body Supplies
I think that's catchy!

Call me crazy but if I saw a warning like that I wouldn't buy it.:lipsrseal

Ok I think I know where I goofed- I must not have gotten the mixture hot enough before I added the cold water....I just checked it and it has all separated, water on top and all the white stuff is sitting on the bottom of the pot. Well I guess I'll try again.:undecided
-
Yup, that's how I do it, but it doesn't turn to gel until I add cold water- like making jello, maybe I'm not adding enough soap?
-
I can make it with fels naptha, but everytime I make it with my own soap it never thickens up-always stays watery. I use 100% coconut with 0 superfat. I've tried with 3oz, 4oz, and 6oz of soap shavings but still failed, what am I doing wrong?
-
Just curious, as to what type of work you do that allows you to be so liberal with money? Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's totally appropriate, or you wouldn't be doing it, right.
I work for the government, and billing/reimbursement to different gov. levels is where we round off.
But if I were a customer of a company that done this, I would be really upset to find that my order came to $5.50 and I had to pay $6.00 for it, especially if someone else's order came to $5.49 and they got it for $5.00.So, shouldn't they give me a break on my order and just say it was $5.49 and let me have it for $5.00 instead of $6.00. I guess this type scenario is why places have "cut-offs".
I was referring to flat rate shipping, doesn't matter the price or weight, just what fits in the box.............:rolleyes2
-
It is for a large supplier, Wholesale Supplies Plus. IMO, you have to draw the line somewhere. When the cut off is $25 for cheap shipping they can't then give it to everyone who calls to question it.
At what point would they stop giving it? $.25, $.50, $1? Then someone would call and say my buddy got flat rate shipping when they were only $1 over and I'm only $1.05 over.
There has to be a cut off, KWIM?
I agree there should be a cut off, but twenty cents-pfft gimme a break. I work with large sums of money and we round off so 25.20 would be 25.00, 25.50 would be 26.00. Easy peasey....
-
Well I'm not much help but I made a coffee scrub and used it and didn't really notice any difference then my normal scrub-cept the smell and it was a bit harsher, I would not have dared use it on my face. HTH.
-
Thanks, that's what I thought too, and I also have no problem using it on my hair and my skin. But I don't have any BTMS-I'm just going to my lotion recipe out and see how my hair likes it.
-
between lotion(for skin) and conditioner (for hair)? :embarasse

I do a lot of shipping and I would never do that to a customer. It is worth the 20 cents to show them respect and cut them a deal. It makes them feel special if you give them a break. Even a little one. And that makes us look good. It doesn't hurt us at all. I used one company and spent 10,000 a year with them. They switched their magnolia scent and didn't tell me. When I got home, I hated it. I called them, and they told me. We do not exchange scents. Period. They lost a pretty good size account over a bottle of scent. And they would have gotten that one back. Sorry, but I don't do stuff like that. There is always a company that will appreciate you better. :highfive:
I agree 100% with you. They have bent the rules for me before and as I understood it flat rate goes by what you can fit in the box not weight so I didn't think 20 cents was a big deal- <50cents I round down, >50 cents I round up..... Anywho I was just venting, no big deal cuz they actually helped me out in the end-I didn't need it, I wanted it. TY WSP hahaha....
-
My brain thanks you.......
-
Sorry but I am aggrevated. I wanted to place an order with WSP, the total came to $25.20-yup 20 cents over for 6.95 flat rate shipping-and nothing they can do about it is what they told me on the phone. Soooo they just lost an extra ten bucks-over 20 measley cents.
-
I know this is probably a silly question, but for some reason my brain just isn't working.... how do you measure eo blends? If I am making a 2 lb batch and I need to use .5 oz per lb, then I need 1 oz right?? Ok this is where my brain fizzles out...let's say I need 3 parts Lavender, 2 parts Sage, ummm help?:embarasse

I have a quick question...can ewax or ceatyl alcohol be used to thicken LS?
-
Hmmm off-hand....Lovespell, Mulberry, English Garden(traced fast though), Apples & Maple Bourban, I know there's more I've CP'd, just can't remember......
-
Is there such thing as a bad Satsuma??!! I LUV SATSUMA!!!
-
HMM I actually like the smell of ferrets.
Now just what do you use mink oil for?
Sally.
I'm not sure what to do with it, I don't want to smell like a ferret, lol. It's listed on soap calc but is all zeros for soap qualities.

Someone just gave me a small bottle of this(along with some lemon oil), I have never seen it before. But get this- the date on the bottle is '72!!!! For the heck of it I may throw it in some soap.
