  1. I am NO expert on this topic (far from it actually), but...I have played with polymer clay before. I was feeling "creative" and bought some clay at Michael's. It was Sculpey clay. It is the kind that doesn't get hard until you put it in the oven and bake it. I have yet to bake my creations as I don't want to chance ruining them (LOL)- even tho I've been told that it's ok to bake... I just put them into my china cabinet for now... Encourage your daughter to do this. It is a rather relaxing thing to do as well as a great feeling when you finally DO create something that you can be proud of. My hubby and kids both said they wouldn't have believed that I did them if they hadn't seen me doing it at the time. I actually made them speechless (Just for a moment tho...lol) I will try to post a pic. (Doubt it will work, but will try. I'm not the best with photos or posting....lol) But, definitely encourage it - and try it yourself. You'll be surprised as to what your mind and hands do when given a little time...lol I hope this helps you. Go to sculpey.com and check out what I mean.
