Candles: Southern Scentsations www.greatcandle.com
Beth is wonderful, get great customer service, and I can drive there.
-
You can always put some baking soda and white vinegar down the drain until it quits fizzing and then follow with hot water.
-
I just use the paper cupcake liners and place them in a muffin tin so they hold up when you pour wax in them.
Now that is a smart idea, those are fairly cheap for the amount that you get. Okay though my ? is do you use the colored ones or the plain white ones?

OMG.. I would write him back and tell him you posted his email back to you on a very populated candle message board and we are all boycotting them. He sucks @ss in my opinion. Give me his email addy, I would be glad to give him a piece of my mind for talking to you the way he did. My gosh.. People like that really piss me off!!!
I have never had any problems with the Jar Store. I also get glassware from Cajun Candle and never had a problem either. This Fancy place needs to fall off the earth!

OMG LOL you go girl!!!

I am going to first perfect my hand-dipped and hand-rolled candles, but I am just looking to see what you think of some ideas for candles that I will possibly make when I perfect my other candles first. So, what do you think?
The sky is the limit on what you can make next. You could do container candles, pillars, votives, tarts(but don't call them that the name tarts is trademarked) you could bath and body products. It isn't going to matter what anyone suggests this is a decision that you are going to have to make. On the left hand side is basic instructions, techniques and Ideas and also bath and body. Browse through there and read, if something strikes your interest follow up by searching the internet for more information. Mostly what you make after you perfect your other candles is going to depend on how much funding you have available to use. Some items are more costly then others.

You could try Gordon's Food Service or a resturaunt supply, but Im sure Sam's has them just might not be listed on their website.

As far as his response, I really didnt' see anything to be upset about. If Yankme puts warnings on their jars and instructions for opening and closing, it must be for good reason. Glass breaks.
IMO I believe there could have been more thought in the way the story was presented. I have had only good dealings via email with Ron, but I can see by his reply how someone would be made to feel like an idiot that can't open a simple jar. Why couldn't he have just stated that he was sorry that this happened and thank you for reporting it to him. I just feel that his response could have been handled a little better from a customers point of view.
-
Well to start off I am very sorry you have had such a bad experience. I have some samples from there and from the Jar store, though I don't see much difference in them. As with anything glass there is always a possiblity of breakage, but I agree that the way it was handled was uncalled for. Unfortunatley, with written word there is no way of knowing what the person writing was intending the interpretation to be.
I have had email correspondence with Ron several times with no problems, though I have not had my jars break either, but this truly enlightens my decision on where I will probably order from. I have gotten excellent customer service from the Jar Store. I even had Paula call and ask me how my testing was going.
I would never give up on a jar over one mishap, the supplier who does not know how to handle themselves professionally yes I would dump in a minute. I have tested and tested in my jar store metros without any problems. I have not tested in the Fancy Candle Jars yet, but I will certainly be very careful when I do.
Thanks for the heads up on this company.

That site is neat, the loose mineral foundation makeup has a picture that is Bare Escentuals. Which if none of you use it, is an awesome makeup line. You can cover dang near any irregularity in your skin and still feel like you are barely wearing anything.

The ingredients includes water, shea butter, squalane, beeswax, silica, mica and extras. I used to work for the fullfilment house that shipped out and did customer service for this company. The gingerbread is a very potent smell, once they were unpacking kits and our whole warehouse smelt of gingerbread and the bottles were never opened. I have samples of their pure grace, baby grace, and amazing grace perfume and I love how they smell. Let us know how it turns out if you make the recipe.

I don't use their soy I looked into it, but decided to go with GB soy from Southern Scentsations(which is also a MI supplier) They have better prices on their soy wax.
-
How about....If you only knew what this scent will do....lol j/k
refreshingly drenched

That is kind of hard cause it all depends on where you are fishing. When I lived in FL it was saltwater smell all the way, but when we fish now in MI it is fresh air, woods, and wildflower smells.

Okay I pm'd ya

I very much like the 464 you can get it at Southern Scentsations www.greatcandle.com they are located in Flatrock, Mi and have good shipping prices.

I am very glad to hear that all has worked out peacefully.

I think there are quite a few people that are on guard regarding this thread since it has already been proven that things have been copied. In more ways than people have caught on to. I know that there aren't to many words to describe soy wax and its benefits and everyones description is going to be somewhat similar, but in the defense of the people that have been copied, there are plenty of options to take basic information and make it your own.
I don't blame a single person that looks into this thread or the website to be upset for being copied, I would assume after the first time this was brought to this persons attention they would of completely revamped their site to make sure that their wording was their own.
Out of curiousity, I looked at the site. I wonder why she has a cabin for her logo yet she has a potato holding a sign on her labels. Seems kind of odd to use a potato when you are from Oregon. Though I can't find the thread I do believe I have seen that potato before this thread and it was not on her website.

The yellow rose means friendship. I just googled flower meanings to get that information. HTH

I spray them white then use small stencils to spray pastel colored baby items on the lids. I made my stencils, I found black and white objects and then laminated the sheet and cut them out with an exacto.
-
I would go all floral for your scents. There are many flowers out there that have meanings behind them. Examples are Lily: purity, faith, friendship, devotion. Heather: admiration. Freesia: Innocence, Trust, Friendship. Forget me not: Memories. Hyancith: Constancy. Hydrangea: understanding, heartlessness. Rose: friendship, thank you, admiration. Not exactly sure if this falls under what you are looking for, but maybe it will help.

You may want to make your soap anitbacterial and exfolliating. What it may be is clogged pores, my husband gets them from oily work pants(he is a mechanic). He uses an antibacterial soap and a loofah in the shower this seems to help. He has also from time to time used epsom salt baths(with glycerin) to help clean out the pores.

I think that they are sold I found these threads.

Not sure if you were looking for it for another reason, but it appears someone else is carrying their FOs

There is a company about 10 minutes up the road from me, but they don't really have much so I drive about 50 minutes 1 way to pick things up.
