  1. I would think for the soy users the leaf rating would be pretty accurate. Now, I use paraffin so if it says it is strong in soy I know it will be great in paraffin. If it say it is not very strong in soy it still might have a good throw in paraffin. So, I guess that is why it is so important to do your own testing. Plus, everyones view of a strong or weak throw will vary on the person.

  2. Great Job...I know it's hard to pick a jar....I started out doing JJ because I love country but not everyone here likes that style as much as I do. Then I moved to the Madison jar it is more contemporary. People do like that but I still have people who like the JJ too. So, you just never know. If they love country the JJ will go in any room if not I understand what your parents are saying. However, me personally if I like the way a candle smells I don't let it stop me from buying it no matter what type of jar it is in! :smiley2:

  3. I have been using them in the last couple of batches I have made. For the life of me I can not get the micas to incorporate. I think I read on here to use a little bit of glycerin and mix the mica in before adding it to soap base. Does anyone have any other suggestion cause I just can't figure it out. Thanks so much!

  4. Hello...I have been making several batches of CP soap over the last year. However, the last two batches I made I decided to do a swirl on top. I took a small amount out when it reached a light trace and colored it. When I poured my full traced soap into the mold I then added my color to the top to do swirls. The two batches I did this to both tops cracked. I wasn't sure if it was overheating or I needed to let my colored soap reach full trace. I am so confused cause this have never happened to me before. I have not changed my recipe but I did change my mold. Would that have anything to do with it? Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!:smiley2:
