I got this info off of this site about this fragrance and i ordered so and made 20 candles to being to the festival. 7. brenda, i know that 1 oz is too much for one candle but i am just trying everything because i want to make this wax work. I only have cotton wick 44 and 51 i have never used anything else. All this is still new to me and i am trying everything i can to make it work. I made them this morning so i will test them both in diffrent rooms and let you know the out come i will be up for a few more hours so i will let you know if they have a good throw within the next 1-2 hours. thanks lyndie
  8. Brenda, I burned it for 3 hours still no scent i also had the other candle i was burning in the other room and same thing. I just got finished making 3 9 oz china rain perfect soy and they are cooling right now. I think that i may have put too much oil in them but i guess we will just have to see. I used 44 wicks in one and 51 wick in two just so i can test the difference. I put 1 oz of oil per candle, I know it too much but i guess that i just think more is better. How long do i have to let them cure before testing? The melt pool is great. Thanks Lyndie
  9. i forgot to put the last reply was for taglie:wink2:

  12. Hello greenfeaf. Ok here is what i did i bought 10# cut it and weighed it myself. I know that when the wax is melted that it is not the same # as it is in the block. So i put 14oz to make my 2 9 oz hex jars. I burned the candle for 8 hours and still nothing. Melting pool is about An inch maybe less. the pool was all the way around burn beautifully. I made a ivory candle and i used 2 small drops of dye. I made another one with another scent from cajun candle supply and the same thing. I hope to get this because these candles came out so beautiful i love the look but i am just having bad luck i guess. Thanks hope to hear from you soon. thanks lyndie Ps here is a smile:D

  14. I got my shipment of perfect soy about 2 weeks ago and the day i got it i tried it. I used 9 oz hex jar wicked it with 51, satin sheets from greenleaf 1 oz pp i let it cure for about a week and i burned it and i can't smell a thing. I was just reading another members post and she did the same thing as i did and hers came out perfect. I followed the instructions on the paper just as it was stated. Can someone tell me what i did wrong. Should i try to wick it with a 44 wick b/c i just bought some. I'm fairly new to this and i am testing testing all the time. I am about to use the p/s with china rain (ls) i really is getting to me because i just CANT GET IT. Any help would be great. Thanks lou lou:embarasse
  15. I was just wondering if any of you ever tried lonestar candle supply and how do you like the fragrance oils? I'm looking for good quality oils that wont cost too much:undecided with the fo and the shipping.
  16. bev, i think i saw storm watcher at lone star candle supply.
  17. i just tried it by itself and when it cooled the wax looked cracked all the way around. Just wondering what is making it do this.
  18. i use j223 parrafin wax and 100% soy wax i blend it 70/30 but it is mostly with my 100% soy that i am having a problem with.i use 9 oz hexagon containers with 51 wick. my oils are from lonestar candle suppybut i also use them from other places too. could it be the brand of wick? another supplier i get my oils from is cajun candles. but when i am burning the candle i have no smoke at all its just when i blow it out. i have no soot on the container at all when burning them.
  19. thanks mei mei. i will try that right now. i will let you know how it comes out
  20. 1 oz of fragrance per lb. great melting pool. 51 wick with zink core. I let it cure 24 hours before i burn it. and i let it burn for hours hoping to get a better scent throw. the wick mushrooms and sets off my smoke alarm. The perfect soy melting pool is almost half the candle which don't seem right. I do have some 44 wicks that i can try. i have been testing them for about 2 months and nothing seems to satisfy me. I find that the soy parifin blend is the best so far but still i want better.
