  1. I have the Fireside but haven't put it in wax yet. Another unique scent and I'll try it soon. Good luck with your fundraiser, Winter Blast will be a good signature scent for them.

The only scent I've tested from Wildfire that didn't throw for me was the Cinnamon Crumb Cake. Too Bad, it smells so darn good out of the bottle. Her Vanilla Essence is another good one. It's a beautiful scent, reminds me of Vanilla Sandalwood with an extra kick to it.

  2. It's unique for sure. Not too minty. Here's the description on the website-

An intoxicating blend of vanilla, pine and sweet peppermint sprinkled with subtle notes of eucalyptus, cedar wood and fir needle. A complex scent that is a must have for your fall collection. Flashpoint: 145f Skin Safe

  3. I'm testing some of the Wildfire Creations scents this morning. I use a 50/50 parasoy blend. Winter Blast is already filling the house and I just lit the candle maybe 15 minutes ago. I'm testing this after less than a 24 hour cure, I just poured this yesterday afternoon. Very strong and very wonderful. This is one of those "finally" scents for me. Kind of like Celtic Moonspice was. It doesn't smell like Celtic Moonspice but it has that same type of kick butt throw. Now that I've gone back and ordered more of this one :smiley2: , I thought I would share my find. By the way, Wildfire is the supplier that carries the original Ms. Randy's Vanilla Bean. If you haven't tried that one, add it to your must tries.

  4. Not a 100% soy gal here but I do 50/50 blend and I've tested about all the Grandma's Kitchen's there are and found Millcreek's to be the strongest thrower. Funny though, I couldn't get Cozy Home to throw worth a darn and to me they smell almost the same OOB. Apple Pie is another hard one to find a good thrower with my soyblend but have found that The Scented Bean has a very good one. Also a great Spiced Apple one.

  5. From left to right-Island Kiss, Sun Ripened Raspberries, Black Raspberry Vanilla, Very Sexy for Him, Honey Spa Ginger, Victorian Violets, Vera Wang and Midnight Pomegrante. The orange one peaking out under Vera Wang is Mango Medley. I do most of my soaps CPHP. All are colored with clays, micas or my favorite-Oregon Trails neon powders.

  6. Fantastic company, both scents and customer service. Everything I've purchased from her I've been very pleased with. Bourbon de Vanille -major YUMMY! I sent her an email last night with a question and seriously, I received a reply in less than 5 minutes. Now that's customer service! Very fast shipping too. The very first scent I purchased from her was Peppermint Vanilla (last Xmas), and I knew then this supplier was going to make it big in the supplier market. I highly recommend giving her a try.

  7. Last summer I played with the plain paraffin. The wax was in the 130-135 range. Without additives, total yuck. Craters from hell. Very inconsistent, wet spots, about 3% scent was all it would hold. Vybar 260 helped with the fragrance, now I could up it to 6%. Still craters from hell. I bought some petrolatum-I was determined to beat this. So, petrolatum made the paraffin much softer, alot like the soft container wax, actually had a very good hot throw. But petrolatum is finicky. You really have to test, test and test some more trying to figure out the percentage of petrolatum to use to make the wax softer but not so much to make the wax smoke and have black soot from hell. Still craters, not so bad as before, but still a 2nd pour for sure. I never could get a "pretty" candle, you know, the creamy beautiful colors kind of candle. Actually what I did find with this plain paraffin-1 teaspoon per lb of vybar 260 added the paraffin, and a 50/50 blend of this and 415 soy was very satisfactory. I just never could get past the pouring @ 100-110 range. Too impatient I guess. So I gave in and let it win. Too much hassle for me. I don't have time to babysit the tempermental blend, I need to pour and go on. Comfort blend and 444 is my friend now. Oh, and my turk -n- surf. But that's a different subject ;)

  8. I've put the White Patch in wax many times and the scent makes a fabulous candle. Another of hers that is excellent in wax is Sunkissed Currants. And Sweet Innocence, Yuzu, Brown Sugar and Figs, Madri Gras, Moonlight Path, Chai Tea, and the list goes on. Her descriptions will tell you if the scent will work in wax.
