  1. I use 25% container and 75% PB

I have done this with 135- 464 and 415 with great results but I do have to say the 135 for this mix was my favorite but I hate to order it for just votives

Have you tried this combo for making pillars? I think I'm going to try & see & also for my embeds & see how it goes. Thank you

  2. You can't burn PB votives like a pillar - they have to be in a tight fitting votive container

Several years ago I thought it would be cool to set a votive inside a mason jar for my sisters wedding and when I made all those dam things and did a trial run every one of them turned to a blob and burnt out in like 3 seconds

CS carries votive holders very reasonable in price and I think it was peak that has some new cool colors

I use LX14 and CD4 or 5 for most of mine

Tam- I use some 135 or 415 mixed in with PB for the votives- it softens it enough to where they don't crack coming out of the molds and helps with HT quite a bit IMO

About what percentage of container wax do you add to the PB?

  3. I've not seen these do you have a link for the candles? Oh I found them & have seen them. I've not tried any of them though. I finally broke down & bought a Yankee Candle and it didn't show me a lot for their prices. Mine are far better as far as hot throw.

  4. I'm using GB 444 8% fo. The cd 5's started out working good but the flame is dwindling. Candlescience suggests Either CSN26, Eco 16 or LX 30. I don't have any of these wicks. I have HTTP's in the larger sizes & I think a CD 10 is the largest in that size. Any recommendations?

I have LX30 flat braid guess I could try making my own tabbed wick.

I'm really beginning to think there is no way to double wick this freaking jar with any wax. It's very aggrevating. I have a 12 ounce libbey storage that the cd 5's are working great in.I also have the Anchor hocking 16 ounce comfort jar I need to test I'm hoping the 2 CD 5's will work since it's not as tall as the other jar.

I'm just really at a loss here & getting really ticked off.

  5. I'm not sure the best way to do this. I have someone wanting pricing for 150, 500 & 1000 candles to sell for a center fundraiser they are having. From my understanding they will have them displayed for sale not individual people going out & selling them. He's looking for about a 9 ounce candle so my thinking is a salsa or hex jar to cut down costs.

I'm not sure the best way to price these out I'm totally math challenged. I had a fundraiser sheet some where but can't find it now. Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated.
