I just received my jars today & am going to start testing this week. I use a 70/30 blend wax & due to the wider part at the top and narrower at the bottom do I wick for the widest part? If I wick smaller is there a good chance it will catch up later on in the burn to avoid the bottom from getting too hot? I am clueless here as all of my jars are usually the same diameter from top to bottom. Any help is greatly appreciated. :embarasse

I just weighed the log & it's right at 3.5 lbs. I should have filled it fuller they are short soaps makes me so mad

Just finished pouring these. I thought the Mr Doright mold would hold 5 lbs of oils :laugh2:Boy was I wayyyyyyyyyy off I'm very pleased with the way they turned out though I hope there are no disasters with these. Do yourself a favor & purchase the vanilla stabilizer. It's fantastic. I made a pink sugar using the stabilizer & it has not turned dark & that's been almost 3 weeks ago You'll be glad you did trust me.

WOW very very pretty soap. It's definitely unique. What are the little white balls? I finally got some decorating tips & need to get back to soaping soon. Working 105 hours in 2 weeks is a killer.

I'd try starting off with an 1/8 & yes it's pretty much what you see is what you get. I've not had it turn grey. -

I just add it directly to my soap mix - I usually use 1 capsule at first then see how dark it is. It doesn't take much. HTH -

I've never weighed mine. It doesn't take much I just snip off a little piece about the size of a q-tip.
