The gel will eventually smooth out.

I'm well on my way to stocking those shelves! First of all, pouring gel wax into a small dairy carton is not dangerous in any way if you use your head! After cooling and hardening then warming only to 150 degrees it's safe to pour into a carton with ice. The most volatile point for gel for candles is the first melt. Cool it, then pour.
Are you leaving the candles in the carton????? Why??? I think you need to do more research.

Congrats!!! They look awesome. Love all your labels.

Gorgeous!!! I would love to have one of those molds.
Me too

OMG those are too cool! Love them!!

I am sorry that happened Cathy. That is theft as far as I am concerned..
She has given countless excuses-I;,m done small claims court here we come. She never even tried to contact me to say she was closing & I'm only a mile from the shop. Oh well-don't piss or rip me off!!
-
Yeah!!! Just make sure you do make detailed lists that both of you sign. I just had a lady close up her shop with no notice & she now will not give me back the items I had in her store or the stand they were on:( She gave two sob stories but now she is ignoring me. I'll get them back one way or another. Just be careful who you deal with. Fron now on I'll only deal with shops that have been in busines for awhile. Maybe I'll even ask for references!!!

If your basket is big enough you could fold down the box & place it in the bottom of the basket under the warmer & melts. Does that make sense????

Paying shipping sucks I'd probably be rich by now if i didn't have to pay shipping for everything!!! Still looking other places but haven't found any more for ya yet.

WOW I asked them if they were connected with Creative, etc and they told me NO!!!
-
I think if you look at the scents they are exactly the same. Also they have the same mailing address.
Yep same company-different name again.
-
Guess what a new name change again!!!

Boy am I glad I'm doing more gels now than regular candles. Hard to resist all these new fragrances & the prices but I need more gel fragrances not regular!!! NONO do not buy them:)

. . Most of my decorative candles are not meant to be burned, so i always use a very small diameter burning wick just in case some genius decides to light the candle and ruin it.
WOW seriously???

The beads work fine just adding them to the liquid dye without anything else added. I made some unscented and just put in the dye & added beads.

I've had some problems with the quality of an item I had been buying from them and I have to say they have the BEST customer service ever!!! They made everything right and were very helpful and curteous. I wish all suppliers were as great as they are with the service.

Because of insurance a lot of stores can't burn candles so I suggest they buy a wax melter to use in store. I give them some melts to try then they purchase any additional ones at a discount. It does help a lot if the customers can smell the scents when they walk in.

Sounds like tendonitis. Cortisone shots will help if its not getting better with rest.

Looks good Sandra!!!

I love your warmers. So beautiful & unique. great job!!!

First I hate to have to pay shipping for everything. Mostly I hate cleaning gel boogers off the jars after pouring!

Glad to hear you got the money. It also amazes me how these business can be like that & still stay in business:confused:

I love that! Your items are so beautiful.

Suspended Embeds Thread Technique
By CathyinME
Items needed:
Prepared candle for embedding
Glass embed with or without loop
Invisible thread
Scotch tape
MP or HP gel
Glass thermometer
If you have never made gel candles before please read here first: http://www.craftserv...ive/gel-wax-r76
Pour a thin layer of gel into candle enough to cover sand & hold down any items in the bottom of candle. This helps to prevent air bubbles & secures items in the bottom of the candle. Let sit for 5 mins.
Cut a piece of clear thread long enough to loop around embed and to secure to outside of candle. I used gold cord so it can be seen. Do not use gold thread inside the gel.
If using an embed without loops, tie a loose knot around the item trying to keep knot underneath pieces of embed to hold in place. Take both ends of thread and tape to outside of container.
If using embed with loop, string thread thru loop and position inside candle where you would like it to be. Take both ends of the thread & tape to outside of candle.
Now it is ready to pour. For pouring I put a glass thermometer in the candle to let the gel run down into the candle. This helps to reduce some of the bubbles. As you are pouring, slowly bring the thermometer up to the top of the candle. Take thermometer out of candle.
Let candle sit for at least 45 minutes. When outside of candle feels cool to the touch, the thread can be pulled out. Grab one end of the thread and slowly pull off the embed and out of the gel.
Your candle is finished! If there are more bubbles than you want, put the candle in a sunny window to reduce bubbles.
