  1. depends on which wax I'm using- w/the CBA, if 1oz pp doesn't throw I won't use that FO w/the 464, I almost always use 1.5oz pp (stronger FO's can use 1oz pp)
  2. I've been using this wax for years. I vary my pour temp, depending on the size of the jar, and the weather/time of year. I always heat to 155. The smaller the jar, the "hotter" my pour temp. Also, in the winter I pour cooler (~110-115) in the summer, I pour ~120-125. I also cover the candles w/a box and a towel. HTH
  3. this is pretty much what I do as well (except I don't warm my jars, just cover them w/a box to cool)
  4. yes, they do ship. I pre-ordered a case a couple of weeks ago. they're shipping it out tomorrow.
  5. ooohhh- dang, you're right TY so much for the info
  6. I have a customer that wants to carry 1/2oz bttls of my room spray (plastic) These seem to be a bit hard to find. Midwest Bottles has them on a surplus/special. Anyone know of any place else to get them?
  7. and I have always used the Ecosoya PB, and get great results w/it
  8. I've been using the advanced for 3 years. as long as I use better quality FO's, I have great results. The people @ CS are awesome!! And I luv their FO's too. I will continue to use this wax for all my colored candles.
  9. even thought you already ordered, I just had to say that you can't go wrong with anything from them (and glad you got the cran. mar- been a fav for years)
  10. I have a customer that sent me some Lavender EO from Maui. It's her fav Lavender, and wants some candles that will smell just like it. However- it costs $10 for a 1/16 oz vial, not including shipping. She'd be willing to try a less expensive EO ( perhaps from CamdenGray, or FNWL), or even an FO that's as close as possible. I mostly use CandleScience's Lavender, but am looking for suggestions/opinions in this matter. I use the CBA for all my colored candles, and she'll want them colored. TIA
  11. I just put a few drops of wax in the bottom of the cup, then "set" the wick assembly, then pour the rest of my wax. Never had a problem doing it that way.
  12. I remember when I had the same problem w/my floaters- using the same wax as you. Try adding some container wax, to soften them up a little bit.
  13. I'll be using either 464 or CBA, not sure which one yet (really all depends on if they're colored) oh- what about wicking? same/up/down?
  14. I have a customer that's sending me some Lavender EO to use. What ratio do you use w/your wax ? (i.e- if I'm using 1oz FO pp of wax, how much EO)
  15. ty all so much. I appreciate all the replies on this one
  16. was just wondering, if there are any particular scents that are less "bothersome" than others.
  17. been using this wax for years. I try not to heat to more than 160, add color & FO, and stir and pour at 140
  18. I totally agree w/this (Oh- and I use the CBA too. You have to find the "right" FO's for it)
  19. I agree w/it being a matter of balance. IMHO, first start w/a wax that works best for you, then go from there- to find the best FO's for that wax. HTH
  20. what type of wicks r u using? in what type of wax?
  21. Just my personal experience- I have been using the EcoSoya CB Advanced for about 3 years now. It's the only wax I use for colors- beautiful, rich, and nice and creamy. But alot of people don't like it. (I get a great scent throw, when using the right fragrance oils.) But I do agree, that you have to find what works for you. HTH
