Okay! I have been testing candles for almost a Month And I thing I Finally got it thanks to all of the good help you nice people. Anyway my question now is if I wick a candle with out the pin to test a new scent once the candle riches between half - to 1 inch on the bottom of the jar the wick moves and drowns. Now do I use another wick or my test burn is Okay. and try on a bigger jar I hope you know what I am talking about and somebody can answer my question Thanks

I would like to know when you testing your candles for a new FO do you test every size Jar you are using Like if you use 3 different sizes let's say a 16 Mason an 8 Mason or and apothecary 10 oz I hope you nice people understand what I am trying to say

Please: I would like to know the wicks everyone is using are they Pre tabbed and waxed, or by the yard and no waxed and you make it your self, and which is better Sorry for the many questions ladies :) I hope you know what I am saying.

Darbla; What I mean is the candle burns fine Poul melt is fine every three hours until the 4th burn then the flame gets smaller and smaller and it starts drowning now if I dump some wax out then everything is OK! I hope my explaining is OK!

Hi! again Please help I made 2 16 Oz regular mason jars using Echo CB Advance one OZ fo and a htp 1212 wick melt wax 155 ad fo no color pour at 125 I start burn test one first burn 3 hours good second burn 3 hours the wick starts drowning what am I doing wrong please help....

Hi! everybody I just made 5 jar candles in a 16 OZ mason jar and use Eco Soy CB advance wax No additives 1 oz scent and HTP wick 1212 And I am having a problem with the wick drowning. Can someone tell me why The supplier tall me to use that size wick please help

I don't think I can get Nature wax C3 here in Canada I can get EcosoyaCB- advancce wax and the supplier is very very close to were I live and I do have 8 oz and 16oz mason jars, from when I use to make jam. I don't want to make anything else then container candles for my DD I like to know what size wick I can use for testing I know how much sent to use from reading in here and I know about the testing. testing ..... :)Thanks for the help

Hi! everyone I have been reading this board since 2006 I start making soap in the beginning off 2007 never sold anything yet But I thing I will this year Back to my point, I never made soy candles before I made Gel candles for a few years but they were hard to sale here in Canada so I stop making them Now my DD is hooked on candles she loves them she says it keeps her house smell good specially if you have a big dog in the house last month she spend over $200 bucks on candles and to top it all they dint even burn right some of them she took back some she throw out. So I figure with your help and her money :laugh2:I like to make a couple and she can burn test them for me I will like to start with your help and a soy wax and a 16 OZ Mason jar so my next question is what wick do I need do I need anything else I hope you good people can help me and her to stop bugging me and to save some money. ... The lady she but the candle from dint have nothing on only the name of the scent And that candle dint burn more then a hour and it left a hall in the middle

Candybee I don't know nothing about candles but this one burn weird as soon as my DD lighted the flame that exactly what happen candle tunneled when it burned and theres lots of wax leftover around the candle? there is a big hole in it what's the problem is it fixable or I should tell her to throw it away
