They cancelled that one (my favorite) and Patchouli Honey, Ginger Lime, and others I have always used.  They told me their sister company (and I don't remember the name, sorry) might carry something similar.  I did look, but holy cow, a one ounce sample was 8.00!!  Buying the larger sizes was equally as ridiculous in price.  What a shame.

    Hey Doglvr,

Did you try the patch honey from WSP yet? I'm down to my last pound from Elements and I wanted to see if anyone has tried it yet

Yep Patchouli Honey was a fav here also. They did say WSP had a patchouli honey. I looked at the notes and it's missing a few things so I dont even think it's the same oil

I don't know about item increases, but shipping is what kills me.  I look around for days/weeks before deciding if I really want an item because of that.

I can totally see this happening. Used to happen to me at the beginning but now I buy a lot of oil that will last 6 months. This way the cost of shipping is reasonable. I'm also lucky that I have 3 candle supply store close to me for wax.

  4. How are yall handling the price increase with wax especially? We still have about 10 boxes left from what we purchased at the beginning of the year. Is anyone taking a price increase on products? Or are you just eating the extra cost?

  5. I'm replenishing our usual oils and I remember the good ol days when a holiday weekend meant a sale of one oil or the other.  I wonder if we will ever get back to that. Seems like there's a lot of demand now since the "panama"

LOL maybe it is strategic. If I can’t read the label I have to buy a new one right?

    hahaha you're on to something.

JS's old labels were fantastic - with the red tape on the bottles. How WSP saw that and decided, yeah our bad ones are better is scary.

Similar thing happened to me with elements just after the acquisition.  Ordered 5 molds, received one. It was remedied quickly, but never had any issues before.

labels, ugh! The thermal labels some places use are the worst. They fade as they sit on the shelf unopened.

I hate hate the new labels. Argh. You’d think they know better with oils and all

Wow..They seem a little more expensive..

I just checked my regular oils and they're still same price. I just pray they keep the same formula. I'd hate to start looking for new oils right now

Don’t do it!!!! Just purchased six (16 oz) bottles of FO from them...waste of $154! Can’t sell these on Etsy, as they have NO SCENT! The 6 I purchased are: Wild Peach Poppies, Lavender & chamomile, Wood sage & Sea Salt, Honey Lavender, WhiteTea & Sage, and Namaste. Waste of wax, labels, ink, clamshells, dye, and warning stickers...and time! No scent whatsoever. I was excited because they offer fragrances I’ve never seen before at my usual companies, but lesson learned...”don’t fix what ain’t broke “! From now on, I will be sticking with Flaming Candle, Candle Science, and Lonestar! WASTE!

Oh no that must really hurt. I got the wood sage & sea salt. Been using it for almost 3 years and thankfully nothing has changed.

    The whole thing is concerning.

very. Customer service already sucks with WSP. I hope quality doesn't take a hit. I have a fav from each of these companies and I'm so scared that something will change :(

That’s terrible 😞 I was hoping that it wouldn’t be like that. Hopefully, they stop buying up all of these companies until they can pull it together with the ones that they already have. They’re really ruining it for us 😩

It's really terrible. I totally understand Covid and resources but WSP has been bad before Covid. I hate that they bought JS. You're right, hopefully, they can stop buying until they can get their supply chain together.

  12. looks like they're operating just like WSP now. I used to be able to order on Sunday evenings, have it shipped by Monday and have my goodies by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest. It's been a week now and my order still hasn't shipped. I have an order from WSP, 2 weeks later still hasn't shipped. Meanwhile, I ordered some samples of jars from China on Tuesday of last week and I got it yesterday.

  13. @Belindait was an email.

I am happy to announce the sale of Just Scent to Wholesale Supplies Plus effective January 19, 2021.

When I started Just Scent 17 years ago, with just 10 pounds of 10 different oils, I never in my wildest dreams thought
we would have grown as much as we have over the years.  We now offer well over 600 different unique fragrances.
I am proud to say Just Scent has one of the largest inventories of premium uncut fragrance oils to offer our clients.

It has been my extreme pleasure to have been of service to all the chandlers and soap makers throughout the years.

I am looking forward to stepping away from my computer and candle lab to test the waters of early retirement.
Many of you are aware that my mother has Alzheimer's.  With the spread of COVID, it has been extremely difficult
to provide her with the routine and consistent care needed in dealing with her day to day needs.
This opportunity came at the right time for me to step back and be more available to her at this crucial time.

Incline Equity Partners (“Incline”), a Pittsburgh-based private equity firm, is pleased to announce its portfolio company, Wholesale Supplies Plus (“WSP” or the “Company”), a leading B2B distributor of consumable supplies and provider of services to commercial artisans, has acquired Rustic Escentuals (“Rustic”) and Elements Bath and Body (“Elements”).

The acquisitions strengthen the customer experience and share of wallet potential by significantly broadening the Company’s product and service offering.  WSP can now provide the combined customer base an enhanced set of products and capabilities, including a distinctive and extended fragrance and packaging selection.

Founded in 1999, WSP was established to provide commercial crafters with a complete line of raw materials, supplies and packaging for the production of artisan bath, body, cosmetics, candles and other personal care and aromatic products.  With over 16,000 SKUs, and complementary resources and value-added support, WSP is the core business partner to thousands of small business owners.  Rustic was founded in 1999 and Elements in 2002 and, over the years, have both built a similar base of highly-loyal, for-profit crafter customers.

Sam Solomon, CEO of WSP, said, “The acquisitions bolster our position in the market and enable us to provide a more robust offering for the combined customer base.  We look forward to continuing to help our customers succeed as small and home-based business owners.”

“WSP has an exceptional value proposition and is a critical partner to the small and emerging businesses it supplies,” said Evan Weinstein, Partner with Incline.  “The acquisitions will enhance the experience for existing and new customers, which has been our goal since partnering with the Company in May of 2019.”

    About Incline Equity Partners:
Incline Equity Partners, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a private equity firm investing in manufacturing, distribution and business services companies. Incline is generally seeking growing companies with enterprise values of $25 – $450 million.  Incline’s typical investment types are ownership transitions for privately held businesses, buyouts and corporate divestitures within the U.S. and Canada.”

    Now this makes sense.

I always paint the outside with a chalk paint (like Annie Sloan or Junk Gypsy).  Is the idea of inside painting so it won't chip easily?  I can't handle the fumes of glass paints which lead me to try the chalk paints and they do stay on really well.

I dont even want to paint myself. Im too chicken to give it a go
