I usually just whizz it in with a stick blender..I like using it cause I can go up and down through the mix and get it pretty evenly distributed..

does olive oil rinse out well?I use a combo of Monoi and good ol' olive oil....the olive helps with my itchy/flaky scalp too! -
Here's one place that carries the Lab Colors
brambleberry has them too.

I like the lab colors too..food coloring in liquid or paste always bleeds. I had one confetti bar... fine for 3 months..then it bled.

Sorry, One side is nice and hard other side, i can slide my finger right over it and it feels like a sliky feeling. hth
is the slippery side the "top".. sounds like your additives just settled and your rubbing the side that is mostly cocoa butter..
-
I am trying to grasp what you are saying.. is the whole thing solid.. as in Not soft? you might not have mixed it throughly and some of the citric or soda settled a bit more on one side??..

for hair...anyone have a T&T recipe? I am looking for one for personal use.
-
Where did you find the recipie? We've got a few littlun's in the family that might like to try that out.
I found it here on the board awhile back.. this is the one I used.
1cup melted clear MP base
4 cups water
2 envelopes Knox unflavored Gelatin
1 oz germabenII
Fragrance oil
3 or 4 skin safe dyes
3 or 4 small containers
Pour envelopes of Gelatin into a bowl and set aside. Microwave 4 cups of water until boiling. Gently pour into the bowl of gelatin and stir until completely dissolved. In the meantime melt the M&P in the microwave. Add fragrance oil to the melted M&P. Slowly pour the soap into the Gelatin and stir gently. When mixed thoroughly, pour into individual containers and color. Place uncovered containers in the refrigerator until firm.
we use the new gladware tumblers with lids to put this in...

The trend I see now is everybody is wrapping their soaps in fabric (ends open), with a cigar band around it.
I got a question for you--where do you get your shrink wrap? I shrink wrap I have is for gift baskets and much too stiff for soap.
yes I like this idea or fabric or a simple cigar band but worry about the MP sweating and getting tacky.
I buy 4x6 shrink bags.. you slip the soap in, hit it with the heat gun and thats it.

I am looking for a new way to package MP. I currently shrink wrap it because of the sweat factor, but I need a cuter idea..CP is so much easier to deal with packaging wise..:embarasse

a good way to test color without ruining your stuff....
test in mayonnaise...
another good tool to get is a color wheel... you can take 12 colors, and just about make any color from the 12 base colors...
