I broke down and used on this morning and I'm sad to say that it didn't lather very well. It wasn't horrible but my 2 year old bars were much better. *Sigh* I guess I needed to come back to reality anyway but they sure are pretty! :smiley2:

Strange they are getting ahold of us candlemakers again!
This came to another website that we have that is not candle related. These spammer's/phisher's just glean email addy's any way they can. Could be from our customers that have been scammed or just a search bot that crawls the web scanning for addy's in the text/links. I don't think chandlers/candle makers are targeted per-say, just any email addy they can get. Darn them anyhow!

Those sound nice. I hope the burn well for you. Let us know how they test out

Thanks all. I still can't believe that I created it all by myself (except for reading all about it here )
You all are going to get sick of me going on and on about it BUT I did sneak back in and gave those bars a few more whiffs. Stop it! I can't! I feel like I'm now a junkie and needing to find a soap anonymous meeting..

Anyone tried blending with Vanilla? I have a big bottle of Van and a wee bottle of Patch.

Just a heads up.
We got an email this morning that was supposed to be from the BBB about a customer complaint. The email had an attached zip file that of course contained the complaint details that you are supposed to open. :rolleyes2 It's total BS. Beware, the email addy looks pretty legit but call the BBB first. As always, do not open the attachment to have a peek. You will most likely get a virus in your precious computer. The BBB has a recorded message on their line about these email's so they are aware.
This is nothing new but thought I would post something about it.

That made me throw up a little!!
-
it smells sooo good I can't wait to get the blend in some soap & body spray - cause I just wanna get naked and roll in it.
You got it bad and there is no cure.

My other craft (which I will not post here because they are ugly)
Don't feel bad as I have a TON of ugly stuff that I wouldn't dare let anyone see. It's a part of the deal. I like the coloring on these. Good job!

Very nice Janet. Love the colors. If there is something wrong with this candle I sure can't see it.

I have two little tester bottles that I bought cause everyone was making such a fuss about how nice it is. I'm going to lock it in the safe right now!

Wonder what he's reserving all that empty brain space for, anyway?
-
MEN!!!!
I second that!
He did go in and pick one up last night though so I have to give him a little credit. He just looked at it and said humm, yep those are nice. I'm not sure if he really meant it or just didn't want to hurt my feelings or the evil glare could have got to him..
-
I put them in the mudroom last night so I would quit picking them up. I kept going in and admiring them :tiptoe:. I couldn't help it..
I think I went a little heavy on the fru-fru juice but they do smell nice. I was going to use one this morning but I just couldn't! They are too darn pretty for me to wreck up. Humm maybe I need that track lighting after all.

I finally made my first batch of CP Soap. And, didn't blow anything up! Yay!!
Yay, you didn't blow anything up!
You are brave and patient!! I like the colors and I bet they will look cool when they are cut. How long to you have to wait??
-
Wow!!!! Those are beautiful....great job!!! Yea!!!
Thanks

Congrats on your first soap! I think they turned out very nice. What fragrance did you use?
Oh yeah, the fragrance. Mountain Rain. Smells pretty darn good too.
-
You'll have to make your DH some soap or shave soap with his favorite manly fragrance - that's how you turn him to the dark side!!
Since he likes beer I wonder if they have a scent for that. Gotta turn him from the dark side.

OMG! OMG!!! I made some soap and it was SO much fun (well except for the waiting part).
I've done soap before a couple of times but nothing fancy at all. I'm so excited now that I just can't stand it.
In the mold and sloppy:
Out of the mold and darn cute! I think I will frame these They aren't as fancy as some of you all's soapies but I LOVE them!!
Pardon me if the pics are too big but I LOVE them!!!!!!!!

I was showing off my new M&P soapies that are still in the mold to my DH just a bit ago. He asked me how I made them so I filled him in on how it arrives and what you do with it. Then he says "can't you just go to Costco, buy a bunch of bars of Lever and cut them up and melt them then pour those into you mold instead of ordering the soap?" I just gave him a blank look. :rolleyes2
It sure has been nice knowing him......

USPS Ground was going to cost me $16.20.
You must have meant UPS since liquids don't ship through USPS. Peak has good oil's and I hope you get to try some

My 5 color swirl scented in Hippie Chick from Rustic Esscentuals. I used Teal, Brown, White, Neon Pink and Orange.s

If you want to prime as a precaution just spray a paper towel with some veggie spray (Pam) & wipe the inside of each mold - can't hurt anything.
Too late. I got all antsy pants and went with naked molds. I couldn't help myself. I'm hoping I can get them out of the mold after they are all set up. Waiting, waiting, waiting.....
-
I have one of those clear plastic soap mold trays for like 4 individual bars and I read that you are supposed to prime those with a light film of petroleum jelly, is that right or is there a better way?
I'm hoping I get enough time to pour me some today. :whoohoo:
Opinion please...salt bar layer
