  1. I agree TOTALLY with the insert from Janet. I had her to make this mold for me and love it. I suggest inserting a glass tealight holder in top of your pillar though to put the tealight in or else the tealight container will melt your pillar wax. At least that has been my experience before I had her to make this mold. Tealight pillars are the only way I make and sell pillars right now. HTH Portia

  2. I have the WORST habit of trying to pour too many things at one time. The other day, I had a grubby night light poured, was working on pouring embeds, testing containers, poured 3 different styles of containers and cleaning all at the sametime. Not to brag, but I am VERY MUCH a multi-tasked person and wouldn't know how to work any other way. I'm not just this way with candles, but in everything I do. I do have those times when my mind just goes blank and I'm like, now what was I fixing to do next,,,,,,,,,LOL Portia

  3. I'm not sure what the heck is the problem with either our atmosphere or these labels. There is something about the gloss on them though, because I had some matte white labels sitting next to some gloss labels on my products and the matte ones are still white and the gloss looks like chit.

I had my glossy labels in the box that they came in stuck in a drawer here and they still yellowed around the edges. I finally gave up and went with the brown kraft. Portia

  4. I have tried one of these before with very little success, but would love to try again. Is there a nak to pouring in these and either being able to pour hot enough to eliminate air pockets (on the outside of the candle) and not warping the mold?

I either ended up with the air pockets on the outside of the finished candle or when I poured hotter, I ended up warping the mold. Is there a trick to these things? The one's that I'm refering to are the plastic and not the polycarb molds. Any help/suggestions would greatly be appreciated. TIA Portia

  5. I had the same problem with my candles here in the house and thought it might be from us smoking in the house. Well, I opened up my shop in Nov and they did the very same thing there and I don't smoke in the shop.

The only thing I could relate it to was the gas heat. I finally decided to go with Prairie Kraft Labels. HTH Portia

  6. That's kinda the answer I expected to get. And just to see what it would look like, it's too boring. I went ahead and arranged a section with size and like containers on a shelf, then pillars to themselves and it just didn't look too presentable "eye catching" to me. Right now, I'm carrying 65 fragrances, so I'm gonna have to find enough space to do this. Oh, lord wouldn't I loveeeee to have a family member who was an interior decorator right about now:yay: Thanks,,,,,,,Portia
