  1. I just absolutely love some of the labels that I've seen on some of your products that has the matching fruit/dessert on the label. I have a few containers that I would love to add this type graphic to. Does anyone know where you can get these type graphics? TIA Portia

  2. Does anyone know where you can purchase those little wooden crate type things that you can package (2) jar candles in? They have the little think strips of wood around the edge. TIA Portia

  3. well, so far I'm testing the recommended LX wicks and the scent throw is awesome. I'm trying after 6 years of using zincs to maybe get away from them. I will keep testing and see how it goes, who knows, I may end up sticking with the zincs. Thanks,,,,Portia

  4. Boy am I going out on a limb here. I have been using Joy wax and zinc wicks for probably 5-6 years now for ALL my containers. I searched back through the different "Favorite wax" topics and decided to order a slab of J223 to test. It seems that alot of you prefer the LX wicks in this wax and it just so happens that I have several different sizes of them on hand. I'm gonna play around with this stuff tomorrow and was just wondering what is a good starting point using this wax and LX wicks in the following containers? Yes, I know that I have to do my own testing, but LX wicks and containers is something that I'm not use to using so I don't know even where to begin. I normally start with 1 # of wax and it will fill the main 4 containers that I sell, which are:

    BC glass flower pot

    4 oz tin

    8 oz tin

    8 oz square mason

    any suggestions? TIA Portia

  5. I too have been heating my jars and pouring around 180-190. That's the thing, there are NO visible air bubbles in it.

I poured in a heated container that had wash cloths taped around the entire jar and cooled on a cookie rack and that is the one that I ended up with the largest air pockets on.

If you put your containers back in the oven to cool, doesn't the precoated wax on your wick melt off?

Also, another funny thing that has been happening to me with the Palm pillar wax. I poured an oval pillar, heated mold, also wrapped entire mold with the wash cloths. Well when I took the candle out of the mold, the bottom 1/3rd of the candle was almost hour glass shaped. It's not the mold bent or anything, I have poured several paraffin candles in this mold and they come out perfectly straight. So, I remelted and repoured again, same technique and it turned out the same way. This just has me totally puzzled as to why it sets up that way. I have used the Palm pillar from Candlewic and poured hundreds of pillars and never had the problem with air pockets nor it setting up like this stuff is. Good thing I love a challenge, cause this stuff will definitely give you that. LOL Portia

  6. I have been testing this stuff and dang the hot throw is awesome, but I'm having that dreaded problem of air pockets. Pouring into heated jars, then poking (and leaving it there) a wooden bamboo skewer in until it sets almost completely up. Then removing the skewer and repouring and I'm still finding them while the candle is burning.

Has anyone else experienced these? Gosh, I've got to figure out how to eliminate these. TIA Portia

  7. I have been using Joy for probably 5 years now and absolutely love it. For some reason, I don't have the issues that others keep talking about with it. NO soot (unless the wick is too large) and I too will lite my candles and burn them all day and no frosting unless they sit in a cold place over night. I love this wax. HTH Portia
