  1. Everything looks really good.
  2. Look-see:) Those look very nice. Love the colors!!
  3. Sounds great!!! My very first batch of soap was just olive and crisco...'cause I was afraid of doing something wrong and figured it was stuff I could get at the grocery store.
  4. Yep..looks like fudge with pieces of choclate. At least you tried. Now you know what to do with the sooz calc...but when I used to soap, the MMS calc was the only one I ever used...never had a problem.

    Mold?

Actually it was just a chance I had found them at the Dollar Tree...I haven't seen them since...but that doesn't mean they'll never have them again. They were actually silicone ice cube trays that were ladybugs and butterflies...they made perfect little tarts.

    Mold?

I've made tarts in silicone molds that I had bought at the dollar store...didn't have any problems with them what-so-ever.
  8. taking a look-see:) Looks good...can't wait to see pics after it's unmolded and cut.
  9. Yes, that's where I got my shea oil from...but that's usually where I get most of my oils and butters from. Shipping isn't bad either.
  10. I just read Janis's post and I would go for the 100% with the water discount and see how it goes. I've never tried soaps with water discounts but sounds like it would be better to be able if you really want to keep it at 100%.
  11. LOL...I must be having brain farts like crazy the last couple days....blaming it on PMS..anyway, Carrie's right...when I punched in the 39.2 ounces of weight in oils, I didn't left it in pounds (which is automatically at 1 pound)...sorry for all the confusion. I think I need to stop trying to help anybody for the next couple days...after PMS has passed.
  12. Heehee...all about marketing!!LOL
  13. Yes, great for dry skin. Either of the solid coconut oils (76 or 92) will give it a harder bar. But I only used at a very small percent 5 - 10 %. Olive oil does take a bit longer to trace but with a stick blender it will go much faster.
  14. Okay...sorry..I realize you said you wanted to do the 100%...didn't know you already had read about the 10% castor...just thought I'd mention it...since it mostly to help with bubbles. I don't see why you couldn't add ground oats...but I've never done 100% olive...when I've done olive soap, I always added coconut or palm kernal at a small percentage just to get a harder bar and more bubbles..never added anything other additives.
  15. checking:) okay..I notice the date of the original post..don't know how I missed it....anyway...looks amazing!!
