Beacause the candle is poured at a lower temp it will set up faster. Therefore, the fO will not have time to settle in the oil/wax. This should have no effect on the scent throw. If you believe it does then you have to ask your self, frosting or throw. Although, I don't even think this is a question. I have often said that there is 100 ways to skin a cat. This is true with making candles. If you believe that pouring at 175 creates a better scent throw, then by all means do it. I personally don't understand where the FO goes is adding it at 125 or 175. I know a lot of people who do it both ways. It doesn't mean on is right or wrong. Bottom line- Do what is best for you.

you may want to try pouring at a lower temp then 160.

That may be too high. You only want to bring the wax no more than 10 degrees over the melt point. All the wax may not be melted, so you will have to mix it up and distribute the heat. Then drop and bring up 5 degrees under the melt point, drop and pour. feel free to call me with any questions.

Geek, You basicly temper the wax. Tempering will break down the crystal structure and always get rid of the frosting/blooming. YOu can use colors you never thought possible when you temper. To temper this wax do the following. Bring temp to 125 and stir to melt all the wax. add scent and color Drop temp to 100 raise temp to 115 (you may be able to pour at this point, if you still get frosting then)...... drop temp to 100 and pour. jason

You need to try the 416 for tarts. It has a higher melt point. You can also use the 474 votive blend. jason

This might be able to be used as a pillar, I have not had much luck with it, but you may. This is 90-95% soy with soy based additive. 135 melt point. It is listed wrong on the website. I poured about 10 of them today for the final test and they all turned out perfect. who loves you all, I do, jason

We are intorducing the GW474. This is our new votive blend. Again, I will be taking the first thirty request for samples. We have recieved all of the sample request.
