These are beautiful!! I love the look of the stamps; it really adds elegance!

Very, very pretty! I may have to try this as I love round soaps. I'm guessing the pringles can would be easier to unmold than PVC. Plus, my kids would be sooo happy that I bought pringles :rolleyes2

Brenda, they look fabuous, both the color and the save! Way to go :highfive:

I use oxides and ultramarines from The Pigment Lady http://members.aol.com/pigmntlady/ and micas from MMS http://www.thesage.com/catalog/Colors.html?mmsID=ec03bcde8e5d398fdc87d5bac83bc07d
They're both fast on shipping. HTH

My 3 favorites from Tony's are Honeysuckle Grapefruit, Cedarberry and Hawwaiian White Ginger. I've only used them in CP and B&B stuff but they're great!
-
I love Columbus! I once emailed them with a question about larger orders/cheaper shipping. All I expected was a quote but Mike actually called me to talk to me about my options! Their product quality and fast shipping are fabulous, but their customer service is just overwhelmingly good.
:highfive: to Mike at Soaper's Choice!!

Thanks for all the info. The discoloration bothers me, but as long as the scents hold up, I'll try to work through it. Maybe some TD will help ... :undecided
-
You put your wishlist right in the shopping cart....saves time LOL
I couldn't resist - I did just that ... and ordered 2 samplers :rolleyes2 This is not a good sign for the new year LOL
-
I do NOT need to order a sampler. I do NOT need to order a sampler. But here I go to check out the ICS website ... where did I put that wishlist for them?:rolleyes2
-
Thanks for the info Kimberly. Do you remember how the Pink Sugar held up scent-wise?
-
Baby Powder, Asian Sandalwood, Pink Sugar or Strawberries and Cream? How did they behave? Any acceleration, discoloration (I'm guessing tan on the BP and brown on the PS) and how did the scents hold up? How about in any other B&B applications?
Thanks for any and all help!:highfive:

Hi Sherri,
Is this it http://www.essentialsupplies.com/ ? On the website it says ED Luce Packaging.

These are beautiful! Did you use the same recipe as the others, 100% co with an equal amount of salt? I think I need to try these now:wink2:
-
Hi Jeana,
I often use both tray and individual "shape" molds for CP. I pour at the thinnest trace possible so that the soap fills all of the detail crevices fully and the finished soap looks nice. I cover the exposed soap with plastic wrap, set the molds on a large, thick towel and cover them with another; the soap gels just like it would in a log mold. For really detailed molds, I drizzle a little olive oil into each cavity and use a pastry brush to make sure that it gets spread around. I only use a little bit, but I find it helps the soap to release easily and the detail stays intact.
HTH

one more for the shiney side:D

I've ordered from them in the past and also no problems. Their shipping is fast and they will send samples with your order if you request them. I'm putting together and order right now for lip balm tubes, 4 and 8 oz clear jars, 4 oz double wall jars. I've used all of thses before and been pleased with them. HTH!

Castor helps ensure thick, stable lather and shea butter makes very creamy, smooth suds. In my "everyday" formula, I use about 5% caster and 9.5% cocoa. When I add shea I decrease the cocoa (slightly) and PO and add shea at about 8%. This soap is not as luxurious as some but simple and very nice with the addition of the shea. HTH

not Jennifer, but I have seen it in my local health food store, which is Whole Foods
Thanks, Rochell!
Tara, I would try mixing the bases together in small amounts first to decide which proportions I liked best, and to see how the ground oats would work out. You can always sprinkle whole oats on top too. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
PS. There is a co-op going on for the SFIC bases and all 3, GM, honey and oatmeal are listed
-
I make CP OMH with ground oatmeal, liquid GM to replace the water and liquid honey, with some whole oats sprinkled on top. I've made it both with and w/o the FO. Both are nice with the "no FO" just being a little less intense. I've never used honey powder but I'm sure it would be easier, and I'd like to be able to use more. I just bought some powdered GM that I haven't used yet, although I'm looking forward to not having to worry about that burnt GM smell! Where do you get your powdered honey, Jennifer?
-
I use Ky Puresoy, but I'm going to try their "Perfect Blend" a soy/paraffin blend.
-
I placed my order on the 5th and got an immediate confirmation email, but haven't heard anything else either. I'm hoping it just shows up since I still haven't gotten a shipping notice. If I don't hear anything by the end of the day I'll email and then call tomorrow if I don't get a response.

I use a combination of 2/3 KY all natural pillar/votive to 1/3 KY 125 soy/cottonseed blend. I can mold this or pour it into foils, the tops are creamy and smooth, it takes color well and the hot and cold throw is great. I call them melts.
