Karen IS going to send me the stuff. I'm such a whiner - I cannot believe I was so impatient! I'll bet they are still totally wiped out!!! If I could go back and change my post I will. I've GOT to start being more of an optimist!
So if Karen or anyone else catches wind of this - my deepest apologies.
I'm sure everyone understands you were posting from disappointment :smiley2:
You did what you had to do as a mom. Believe me, if I added up all the things I've had to forego b/c one of my kids was sick, had an activity etc and my husband was working I'd probably lay down and cry. My kids are older now (23, 16 & 13) so I can do more than I used to, but they still come first.
You'll looove your goodie bag!

The NJ gathering was held on Sunday, October 14th. It was a wonderful day - nice people, good speakers/demonstrators, great food, an unbelievable goodie bag, and door prizes galore. I guess I should have posted before the gathering but was I the only CTer there? I did meet most of the people there and I didn't recognize any names. If you were there and I missed you I'm sorry If you weren't there and live close enough, definitely think about attending next year; you won't be sorry!!

Hi Kalamazoo,
Here's the link to Bert's site http://stores.ebay.com/Heaven-Scent-Candle-and-Soap-Supply_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm and here are some other threads about her oils: http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58339

http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58326 and the one that started the madness http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56935&highlight=bert%27s+pumpkin
I have these all saved so I could review them all before I placed my first order. I should arrive by Wednesday and I can't wait!
PS I ordered the Fall Harvest. I hope to have a review by next weekend.

I just ordered (and received) a slab of the 50/50 from Farmhouse last week. After reading so many good things about the company and the wax, plus the added bonus of being able to go pick it up, I decided to test it. I've been using KY PB which I like, but I've been thinking about finding a less finicky blend from a closer supplier for a while. I actually plan to go pour some testers right after I finished my tea & reading time. When I placed my order I asked about picking up larger quantities and Sherri didn't mention the 50/50 being out of stock. I'm not feeling to confident about switching and I'd certainly be panicking if I were in CB or Sharon's shoes. Good luck! I hope you get your wax soon; this is not the time to be waiting on suppliers!!

www.tncandlesupplies.com has the best Cinnamon Stix ... I just went on their website, and I don't see it ... I must be losing my mind. I really hope it's not discontinued.
Hey CB,
I just checked their website and Cinnamon Stick is there. Here's the link for the specific page http://www.tennesseecandlesupplies.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=19_20&products_id=312&zenid=8c53ddf02acf89669a150d33d0dc1871
Maybe your mind just took a brief holiday, lol.
Seriously, I've done the same thing many times...searched and searched, not found something, look one more time and miracously it reappears!

How do one register for the gathering?
The link for the NJ gathering is in my last post, right above yours.
-
awwwwwwwww man, wish I had seen this earlier. I am only like 4 hrs away.
Hi Kimberly,
The registration deadline has been extended until September 18th
http://soapncandlegathering.bravehost.com/infor.html
Unless you have a conflict, you still have time to register. Hope to see you there!
-
I'll be there! I believe that the registration deadline has been extended, so perhaps more CTers will attend.
-
I'm confused ... where did you get the wicks for the candles pictured on your website? Are you unhappy with that supplier? Like Tereasa pointed out, you need to provide a little more information.

I have the KB beveler which, as Carrie mentioned, planes the bars as well. That's a great feature. I have the 'lil shaver as well, which is from For Crafts Sake http://www.forcraftssake.mainsecure.net/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=18_24&zenid=7f6ebd941201eb7192483bd51f0f1e2b They're both useful!

What kind of wax? I use KY PB and mostly zinc wicks. Depending on the FO I use either a 51 or a 60.

My three mainstays from Tony's are
Cedarberry
Hawaiian White Ginger
Honeysuckle Grapefruit
The Red Clover Tea and Summer Hill are nice, too.

I registered yesterday so I'll be there. I'm looking forward to this especially as I couldn't make it to the last one in 2005. I know I'll see Carol there Hopefully lots more CT's will be there as well!!

Is anyone going to the NJ gathering on Ocotober 14th? It's in Willlingboro, not far from Philadelphia. I hadn't registered for the Philadelphia one b/c we are on vacation then, and I do have a conflict for the 14th but I'm trying to resolve it in favor of the gathering.
Here's the website:

Hi Natalie,
Becky is "Just Scent" http://www.justscent.com/index.html She does have a chocolate cherry FO. I think it's white chocolate but I've never tried it. Like many suppliers, I've had very good luck with a few of her oils and no luck with others. HTH

This will be in Willingboro, NJ on October 14th. Willingboro is about a half hour from Center City, Philadelphia. I haven't registered yet because there are dog shows that I usually do scheduled for that weekend. I guess I need to decide quickly. I'm thinking I'd rather mingle with soapers, especially from CT, than show dogs for one day

Niether of you is "losing it." ICS must have carried it at one time because when I searched for funnel cake on the scentforum, ICS came up first. FWIW, 3 other suppliers came up as well - http://www.lilyladyscreations.com/id66.html

I don't have any experience with the first 2. I've only ordered from BG twice and while their oils are usually very good, their customer service is not the best and they are perpetually out of stock on many, many oils. (Accoriding to their website, FC is in.) HTH

I use 92 coconut oil for my soap. Has anyone tested this? Do those 16 degrees really make a difference?
-
Thanks for the info! I'm actually doing a dog shampoo and spray for the summer. Between shows and swimming, my guys are exposed to a lot of bugs - fleas, flies, mosquitoes, and various other skin irritants. I'm hoping to come up with a combination that repels the bugs and helps soothe any cuts or scrapes.
-
I can find one or the other at quite a few places but I'd like to order them both from the same supplier. Does anyone know of a good source? TIA!

Is Solas' Be Delicious a good dupe? I haven't seen anyone mention it yet :undecided
My oldest DD buys and loves the perfume. She says it's dead on. I keep forgetting to check out the real thing but I love the Solas Be Delicious!

I love Peak's.
Who has a good coconut lime that...
