Welcome.
If you look on the sidebar on this site, there are color mixing ideas and there is a color wheel. Hope this is helful.

Very pretty. Like the labels too:grin2:

Welcome. Really like the colors you chose and the way they blend together.

Looks a little like mottling. Try adding vybar starting at at 1/2 tbs. pp. ( instead of steric). You may have to add stronger dye to get the darker colors though.
-
Welcome:grin2: . Sometimes it helps to post a picture if you can, then people can see what's happening. Not familiar with the wax, but have you tried vybar instead of sterin?

Nice re-treads:D Love the purple one. Thinking of doing the same thing with all the leftovers too. Just trying to get motivated. Your pictures may help:)

Man I've got molds like these, but just haven't broken them in yet. Are they hard to remove like I once read?
I've made regular and cold pour and never had trouble taking them out of the molds. Molds can be little fussy to clean though.

Love the colors. My favorite mold.

I have the 2.25 ones and they hold about 1.1oz wax. I like them really topped up so do two pours so they don't have a dip in the middle. I use them for making melts.

Hi Dee, I'm using a normal thermometer, not a digital one. It works fine. After two hours of double boiling the wax had to be melted!!
Yes, the melting thing was very puzzling. Just mentioned the thermometer thing 'cause I was so surprised that mine was so off. Now I test new ones all the time . I think that the wax must have had a very high mp. I only use a double boiler to keep wax warm. Don't think you can get the wax over 200 with one. Also I found that if the water level in the double boiler isn't at the same height as the wax in the melting pot, I takes a long time for the wax to melt.

Very Nice! Love the red you got.

Don't know why it didn't melt easily, but what type of thermometer are you using? I know that a long time ago, I bought a new thermometer (glass candy type) and it was way off compared to the other two I was using. You may want to test yours.

Lx 10 or 12 here too for regular sized votives. lx14 may bee a little large, but it all comes down to fo amounts and testing. Think I'd start testing with the lx12.

Wow! I'm in awe. Great work!

I've tested a few coconuts and was unable to get very much of a throw. Have tried them in melts and pillars and votives.

Saw ones like these at a kiosk in Scotsdale. Was told the idea was patented. The candles were very beautiful.

Very realistic and pretty too! Well done:)

I'm assuming you mean pillars. Are you using the same wax and additives for the chunks and overpour? I have found that workds the best. You do have to watch that your pouring temp is not too hot though.
I also agree that a picture and size of candle and wick would help. Also type of wax and additives?
