  1. Sorry, They did not say which so I answewed about supplies.

Now that I know the question is about finished product my answer is NO!!!

Wholesale for retail stores yes but NO to other candlers.

Why would you not sell one of your candles to another chandler? Actually on another note..how would you even know if you did sell to another chandler? Just curious to your reasoning on this one.:undecided
  2. Absolutely! As the others have said, why not? If you are confident in your products there is no reason to feel scared to sell to another candle maker, I agree with the others if its a matter of you thinking they will steal your recipe I doubt they could even figure out what it is.:wink2: I like to burn other candle makers candles sometimes also...sure does beat wal-mart candles and sometimes they have scents I like that I don't carry myself.:grin2:

  3. WOW what a slap in the face! I honestly dont know how I would react to this if I were you..lol Honestly I am still trying to deal with the fact that my MOM actually said to me..you should bring your sister into this with you..cause SHE was the one who was always into making candles. HAHA she re-heated a couple of store bought candles in the microwave once and poured them into a container, I hardly call that candle making..lol Family is weird when you go out and do something of your own sometimes, cant explain it but it does happen! I just try to look at it as a compliment, they see you are doing something you love and are actually making money with it so they want in on it too...you cant blame them for that but would be nice if they would find their own niche to get into. Good luck! Maybe once she realizes how much money and time is actually invested into this business it wont last long for her.:wink2:

  4. I am gonna have to agree with the others on this as well, I think with your cost per jar most would not have this hobby or business...lol I know I would NOT...lol I make my 16 oz. Candles for $3.75 and I use Keepsake Jars which are not the cheapest and I have them shipped. I would recommend you do some searching to see where you can cut your costs down dramatically. This is a very time consuming and expensive hobby/business and money does become an issue with it esp. if supplies are costing you a fortune. Tricky part is cutting your costs without cutting your quality. I think you do have some wiggle room though and can do it a little cheaper if you just search around. Good Luck!:wink2:

  5. This does not sound right to me, I dont see why she would need to know some of that information. I would not share your scents or supplier or type of wax you use or anything like that, something just does not add up. I would just respond to her e-mail and tell her thank you for the offer, but I am happy with my current insurance carrier. Thats what I would do anyways.:wink2:

  6. I like the Boutique I think that it leaves it open for different products..such as candles and B&B. I agree with the above about the other being overdone. Why cant you go with Mary's Boutique instead of Macy's that way your customers will also not notice alot of difference and will still recognize your products.

  7. This is not totally finished. I'm still adding products and playing with the wording and such. I've overhauled my entire website. I needed something to match my products and my style.

I would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to sweetcam68. She is the best. She was very quick and gave me exactly what I wanted. If you want a good webset, then go with her. She's a sweetheart as well. I signed up with handcraft market and I love it! It's a little confusing at first, but I have the hang of it. I still have to set up my Mal's cart.

Check it out, let me know what you think

Thanks Eilena, I appreciate the kind words, it was fun working on your webset for your site, you made it very easy for me by being clear on what you wanted, and I am glad that I was able to provide what you were looking for. The site looks great, cant wait to see it finished up. Thanks again. :wink2:

  8. Your site looks great Grumpy!!! I just always love to look at your stuff, its great and refreshing to see how unique and fun your things are. Congrats on finally getting your site "duct taped together" (that was funny...good one:grin2: ) I know you will do well, I'm so happy for ya girl!!:grin2:

  9. Hummmm thats a tough one..althought as I understand it you have to register the copyright..it does not exist just beacuse you made the product and can prove how long ago..I could be wrong on that but never heard of that before..maybe someone else can chime in on that part. BAD news is if you do have to register a copyright and you didn't..not much you can do..also more bad news..even if you did copyright it..it would take ALOT of money and no guarentee you would even win..its takes alot these days for a copyright on something like that to be upheld. I hope you can figure out something..I think me personally would not waste my money with all that, I would make something really dorky and tell her its the hottest selling thing ever..let her copy that..lol

  10. I dont think you can with the quick cart from godaddy. I know where you can get a site at where you will get a wholesale section..they log in with their sign in info and all the products that you specify in your admin will show to them at the wholesale price you specify and they check out through normal cart everyone else does. Its a really nice feature. PM me if you want to know where they are..not sure if its ok to list on here or not;)

  11. Make it just a little smaller and it should get rid of the scroll bar..I size my pop ups to 400x400 or try to get close anyways..I usually at least make the width 400..but the length can vary a tiny bit. By the way I love your site..its so fun, you did a great job with it!!:D
