I was wondering because I had another vendor tell me she does 80 lbs or different scented wax melts every single day...thats she does chunk mixes so each lbs is a different scent and color....I was trying to figure out how she does it...every single day for months? is it even humanly possible to do that with out scorching the wax the time it takes to mix the first few batches and pour the rest would get scorched...or am I just slow lol. I would hurt so bad to be standing all day everyday...

Wow Vicky that is crazy....did you just have unscented or were they scented too? do you normally pour 100 or more everyday? I heard the vats use a ton of electricity.

I am looking at both small vendors and the big ones...the ones with stores or wholesale accounts.

can you use vybar in wax melts? will it lessen the scent? I did not use to much...It is the same amount I always use...It is a standard for me so I know that is not the issue....It is just so strange...Will vybar harden the melt up any I have a soft wax and would like it to be a bit harder....however I do not want to add something that will lessen the throw or lessen the scent load any.

I must be the most annoying person ever at this point lol. Ok so I am having the hardest time with my wax...Everything has been going great...I am still using the same wax and formulas and nothing has changed...however Ihad the FO issue last night and now tonight I melted some wax...It seemed fine It is all paraffin and very clear. I let it cool to the temp I need in the pour pot and all of a sudden it is turning tan....I had earlier dumped a batch because it had turned tan in the warming pot and even though I had no scorched smell I assumed it had...now The wax that just turned tan in the pour pot was a little lower temp then I wanted so I heated it up in the double boiler...it turned clear again? Anyone know what is going on?

it was totally fine and most of the wax was mixed fine...I poured the first wax and all was great...then I poured the second and noticed it had orange unmixed stuff in it. I dumped that stuff...I just unmolded and that stuff had settled in the molds and is seeping out of the wax....I have never had this happen and I did not use more oil then I normally do...what could have gone wrong

I asked this in the candle making forum but they don't really use crock pots so I figured I needed to ask here. Did or do you notice a big increase in your bill when you make a lot of soap in month?

Ok so for those of you who make a lot of wax products...have you noticed an increase in your bill? How often do you melt wax and for how long? Also I would like to know about this when It comes to soap makers too....I use crock pots to do a lot of my melting and for all my soap making. will I be paying hundreds of dollars extra a month if I am making 50lbs of wax or soap a month?

I am not sure...as I have suffered from an inability to smell anything I make for more then an hour Lol. I am taking a break from melting until I an done pouring. My testers are a bit down the middle. I think some love one type and some love the other....they all loves my scoopable it is a parasoy blend.

I would not use them for soaps and things without msds but I will use them in my wax.

I am going crazy...I need a list of scents that I just must have but looking everywhere I am not finding some of them or I will find just one in one place and one in another. Ice Cream Scoop Bread Pistachio (anything) Serendipity Amber scents pecan pie grapefruit(anything) vanilla(not cookies or frosting) pink sugar blue sugar spiced sugar plum bubble gum banana Easter scents beer Irish scents....I think that is my list lol

I noticed. I am amazed at how they do that..everyone else has such high prices.

How can Candle Science be so amazing and offer such low prices? Is it the shipping...is that crazy high?

mine don't pop out even after being in the freezer....but the throw is amazing. I am happy with it. it is not like it is that hard to dump out the wax it is what a lot of people I know do anyhow because they change scents every few hours lol It does feel good to get a great throw.

So my new wax is amazing so far. Not only do I have a just paraffin and a parasoy I also managed to make a great scoopable. Although all my wax is pretty soft and it does not just pop out of the warmers like some do the throw is incredible. I hope customers will except that for the great throw they need to take an extra step. I am so happy that the Scoopable worked out too. I have yet to test it melted yet I am doing that today but I can't see why it would not work it is the same way just different amount as the others are.

I did not realize you had to have a warning labels on tarts...none of the FB vendors I have bought from have them. Is it only if you are selling in stores?

no it is not totally cooled in the picture and it did lessen a bit when it was done cooling but it is still there a bit.

it is winter hideaway and a fireplace scent. I do not know if they are spice but they are earthy and strong.

Ok I am not sure if this is normal for the type of wax I am using....it did not do this or at least show up in my last ones but they were very lightly colored.

Lorrie, I am new to doing this on my own so I don't know if I will make a profit. But you are right. Like I said I was just worrying to much about how well I will do based on other peoples business.
