  1. Have you tried Scent Works Lush Karma dupe? Im a patch lover too and Lush Karma is my perfume. The FO is dead on. Throws pretty damn good too.
  2. Ironic that you should ask as I have one buring right now and I can't stop thinking how great it is. It fills up my 1100 sq foot house in no time. It's an Aveda dupe, very Spa like. OOB it's strong but then it morphs into an even better (still strong) scent when lit. I got it from DayStar candles. This seems to be one of their most popular ones and I can see why. I absolutely love it. Beware: once you go to Daystar and read their descriptions you may end up buying more that you want. They are great with their marketing. Not that that's a bad thing because I have loved all my FO's from there. And if you like mint, try Scented Bean's Refresh Mint. It's got a touch of mint but hell if I can describe the other fragrances in it. I would also catagorize it as a SPA scent. Very very unique and I love it. Not Eucalyptisy (is that a word?) or anything. I made some Refresh Mint and Bunchberry and Moss and they sold very fast here. I guess people want to de-stress in Seattle
  3. Scented Bean Refresh Mint Sage and Citrus Serendipity Hazelnut Capp. Candle Cocoon Bunchberry and Moss DayStar Shampure
  4. I want a new Hawaiian type scent. Not the usual old coconut milk and pineapple. With scents like fresh grass, cucumber, lime, some type of flower, and a dab of coconut and/or pineapple. Something that makes you think of a luau and lays.
  5. It's mió again! I am going to make my first BNL order and am eyeballing these for Soy candles: Herbal Mist (man do I miss the BBW lotion) Olive Blossom Tranquil Tropics Coconut Bay Sage, Sweetgrass and Cedar Eucalyptus and Spearmint Can you tell I love SPA and tropical types? Ha! Anyone use these? What's your opinion?
  6. Good to know Holly since you use the same wax. I ordered all of them. Why not. Worse case I'll male room sprays out of them
  7. I am going to guess air pockets because another person just told me that the T&B (same batch) burned flawlessly. She is bringing the bad one to me so I can "operate". Thanks everyone!
  8. I just ordered a lb of Peaks Jamaican me Crazy and the coconut banana. I already have requests for the smell of beaches and suntan lotion!
  9. Any suggestions for coconutty, pineapple, suntan lotion type FO's in Soy? I know it's December but man do I miss the summer!!
  10. I thought of that too but she said (and she has bought lots from me) that it just did a nose dive. I'm mortified. Maybe Twiggs is too heavy for that wick? I thought since I had the 223 in it I could pick a wick in the middle, which seemed to work fine at first.
  11. I just had a friend call me and tell me my candle (BCN's Twiggs and Berries) burnt right down the middle. I used a CD-14 in a 9oz mason with J223/Soy combo which had worked fine before. I am at a loss and petrified this happened to the whole batch!!! Any ideas?
  12. Aw man! Now I have to take it out of my cart..... More room for something else.
  13. I wonder if thats why people described it as a burnt rubber smell? Fresh coconut smells different than shredded sweetened coconut. My cart contents is growing and growing.... I definately picked up a Jamaca me Crazy.
  14. This is my first Peaks order. Anybody tried these in Soy? Also, looking for a coconut milk review. The post I read on it said it was awful. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  15. I don't think you'll hear many people complain about EZSoy (unless they are anti-Soy). It's pretty popular (and popular for a reason!). Are you curing them for a week? Also, I'd try using 1oz of FO's from Peaks, BitterCreek, Candle Cocoon, Just Scents, or the Scented Bean. They are tried and true and also loved by many. Look in the classified and you'll find samples for sale. The Scented Bean has a great sampler package as well. Try adding your FO at 170ish then stir stir stir. Cure for a week and then take a sniff.
  16. I like the CB3 but got some sinkholes which are really time consuming. I looked at Swan's website and they really tote this as a miracle wax so I got curious. I only use 9 oz mason's so I may have to give it a shot. They also say it already has all the additives which would also save me some testing. I have been using CD14's and they seem to work pretty good. I also use the Eco 10/12. They seem to work fine for the most part. I have also resorted to repours out of sheer frustration. Poking holes seems to do nada. Again, thanks again for your help.
  17. Did you ever test this wax? Is seem so tempting. Air pockets are driving me nuts. Let me know how it pours!
  18. Do you use the CalWax 30CB? I am debating wether or not to get that. What do you think about it?
  19. My staples are Angel (people always compliment me on it), Karma by Lush (free spirits only please;) ) and Vanilla by BBW. I also have some patchouli by index that I wear when I know I'll be outside and not around lots of people. Oh and if I was rich, I'd shop exclusively at www.lacremebeauty.com If anything, check it out. The lady the owns it is wonderful. Its a small boutique with very specialized perfumes that you will not find at department stores. She is serious about her perfumes and quality!!!
  20. As much as you may scoff, get a respirator. Once you're done and you take it off, you'll be able to smell everything. Trust me, it works.
  21. I just tested these two in J223/Soy and I have to say I Love Them!! B&M is Candle Coccon and Refresh Mint is Scented Bean. Talk about nice SPA type scents...wow! Excellent throw too
