  1. I agree, thanks for sharing. I absolutely love Daystar!
  2. Haven't tried it but can you really lose with Candle Cocoon....? I say go for it!
  3. Teri, I PM'd you. I think we'd both would love to have that info!
  4. Holly you are priceless and such a lifesaver. I used the CB30 this year and luckily had no problems. I even threw in HTP, ECO, and CD wicks in and they all worked great. And yes, it is a fast burning wax! I like your idea of double wicking the CB3. I love barrel jars and the CB30 was getting too hot too quick. We do fundraisers every year with the candles so luckily nobody's too picky about what it looks like, but I am;) I did notice that on the 2nd burn, the CB3 melted much better. Puzzling... Have a great Holiday!
  5. Hi Holly. Thanks for coming to my rescue. Its the tunneling around the wick that I cant master. I used a HTP105 yesterday and got the "best" result, meaning not so good. It left about 1/2" on the sides after a 5 hour burn. Im going to try the HTP1212 next. I really llike this wax and lets face it, us West Coasties can't be too picky since we're really limited to local suppliers! I am shifting back to the CB30 today. It seemed to give me minimal problems but I still have 3 cases of the CB3 to contend with! I may play around with double wicking larger jars with the CB3 since everyone seems to eventually go that route. What jar are you using? By the way, BCN has Vanilla Spice back in. I think you mentioned earlier that they were out.
  6. I started out really digging this wax. Now my 8oz masons have holes around the wick no matter what size I use. Its seems that this wax cannot get a wick big enough for it. I single wick them. I have tried RRD's, Hemp, Eco with no luck. Should I add stearic acid? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  7. Anyone have any luck wicking these? I am using CB3 Soy wax which is a very slow burning wax. I sure love these containers!
  8. thanks lou lou. Does it throw strong and smell authentic?
  9. Looking for a nice, strong Cherry Blossum FO that throws strong in both paraffin and soy. I think I'm craving Spring already! Any ideas?
  10. I am going nuts looking for this dupe. I know DayStar has it but there is one other supplier that has it and I can't locate them! Anyone know?
  11. The Scented Bean!!! Try Sage and Citrus, Refresh Mint, Serendipity, Cinnabon, Cocoa nut, Hazelnut Cappucino, Alomond Biscotti....pretty much all of them throw very very storng. Even I can't screw it up
  12. Thanks. It's nice to know that I am not be a complete candle making idiot. But man do I have a lot of FO's that I guess I'll have to sell or stare at wistfully.... It also sounds like I need to at my FO's at at least 185. Thanks everybody!!
  13. I second this. Really a nice, strong fragrance. I made it in a Soy candle and threw well (and I suck at making candles.....).
  14. I thought of that too but this is candles that I test 48 hrs to a week later. Hmmmmm, maybe I just suck at this:undecided
  15. The Scented Bean and some of Candle Cocoon's are the only no brainers that throw no matter how bad I muck it up.
  16. This is probably a topic covered numerous times but I could not help notice, yet again, that manufacturers of FO's and Wax sometimes say to dump the FO in at low temps (140). Since my scent throw is giving me grief, I wondered if there was some truth to that. I just bought some JS Christmas Pine, Home and Hearth, and Apple Pie and I got zero throw in Soy or Vegie/Para mix. Any comments?
  17. I bought BCN's Pinapple-Cilantro. Just waiting for it to arrive. I heard some great things about it.
  18. Did the candle throw well? It's such a pretty candle that it probably doesn't matter but that FO sounds very sassy.
  19. I would have been one of the 3 deep in line waiting to buy. Very professional. Great marketing! Congrats:)
  20. I can smell that pillar from here. Where did you buy your FO?
  21. It sounds like a scent I'd like. And i want to be able to smell it so I might have to try both companies. WYW is just so $$$$$
  22. I hate to always ask for help on these but I can't find any reviews on scent review or grandscentral. Anyone use: Pineapple Cilantro Bamboo Spiced Green Tree Illuminations has an AWESOME Pineapple Cilantro that I would love to dupe. Thanks for your help!
  23. Who has the best one? Pineapple cilantro FO is on my list
  24. Teakwood sounds good. What does it smell like? Taylored concepts metioned "woodsy".
  25. You can't go wrong with Scented Bean or Candle Cocoon. I also love DayStar but you have to test what throws well and what doesnt. Folks seem to love Peaks. I haven't tested my new FO's from them yet.
