I've done it a multiple of ways. But that seems as though is may be brushed on wax with cinnamon. You just make a goopy wax with loads of cinnamon and brush it on over the outside of your main pillar. I would always go lighter on the top since that is what goes into the melt pool. Too much cinnamon and you have a huge firey wick.
I had mine done with Vistaprint & they came out GORGEOUS. Such a great gloss! They're cheap too. You just need to create it & upload it to they're site though.
To pouring tilted layered pillars? If I Have a 12" pillar and I want to do three inch increments (sort of)...how in the world do I NOT get wax all over the 12 inches when I'm pouring the first layer??? I'm a sloppy sloppy pourer. So I guess I'm looking for the best piece of equipment to purchase to get the first & second layer in the mold without dripping all over.
I have some of the single cupcake holders...and they're too big on top. Unless you make a really full iced top on them they'll still be all over the place. Funny, here I was frosting some of my own..thinking...NOW WHAT?
How much are you ordering to get a discount? I'd be interested in knowing that. I asked and didn't really get any confirmed price if I were to order in 10+ lbs, etc. I don't mind waiting for the oils. They really do smell fab.
