  1. Have you checked Walmart, in the crafts section? Lots of times you'll find glass containers this size.
  2. I super second Lorrie's post. When we started we had lots of cracked votives. We were pouring in a cool warehouse. Votives need to cool slowly and the best way is by putting a box over them.
  3. I agree, Michelle is a sweetheart. It's always nice to get a recommendation for someone that's great to work with, rather than just getting a listing and not knowing what the company is going to be like. IMHO. Here's her site http://www.floridasoysolutions.com/
  4. Personally I prefer the Cargill C1 to the Cargill C3. The C3 is inconsistent (Cargill is still tweaking it), it's greasy and harder to wick, and the scent throw is only slightly better if at all than the C1. The C1 is comparable to EcoSoya CB135. Haven't tried the PureSoy or Advanced. But based on the description, I'd try the Advanced. Don't care for the GB or GW. Working with soy always ends up being individual preference. As you find something that works for you, you always learn to tweak it for best results. Find something that is readily available, that has a good reputation for not changing too much from year to year, and that you can learn to pour with the least worry and effort. Hope that helps!
  5. It's been awhile since we tested this wax...but from what I remember we scented at 5 or 6 percent and got an excellent scent throw. The wax burned well and cleaned the edges of the container. My only issue is that I prefer the creamy look as opposed to the crystalline look. I do think that Strahl and Pitsch has the best veggie wax on the market. :smiley2:
  6. I don't think it's a wick issue. The wax cooled too fast after extinguishing the flame. It should not be a problem. The best candles do this after burning. Hope this helps.
  7. You might want to check your room temperature as well. If it is warmer than usual, this could happen. HTH.
  8. Hi, This is my first post to this board. So I want to say hello to everyone! To anwer your question Beth there is No difference. Phytowax C-1 is the same as Nature Wax C-1 . Cargill owns the intellectual property on the wax formula. It is just sold under different names. HTH. -Mel
