This is my opinion. I've only been doing this for a couple of months and only trying out the new methods. I'm sure you were perfect right from day one. I also don't know how to crop out all the filth. These were taken in front of my printer, I guess thats all the filth. You are rude and discouriging. For you I won't be posting anything else on this forum. Thanks for your encouragement!
I did it!! Never thought I would ever get this the right way. I also did another of Kitty's marbles. I seem to get too much of the color drops in it though. There are two pics of it at different angles. Thanks to all.
make the egg shaped candles. I got the directions from www.craftown.com/crafts/art2.htm The only hard part is getting a hole in the shell without breaking the whole egg. I only put a hole on the broad side, not through the whole thing. When it started to set, I put a string of wick in and laid it over the side. I did one repour to fill it up after it sunk a little and waited till it set all the way up and then cracked the shell off. Hope this helps.
The blue one I think I have the blue too dark for the colors of the chunks. The green one didn't mottle enough. Oh well... back to the drawing board... again. Thanks for looking. The egg shaped ones are made inside an eggshell.
While making dinner on Thanksgiving for my son & myself. I realized I didn't have any dessert. So I thought I'd try to make some cupcakes. The cupcake is scented chocolate and the cherries are of course... cherry. It even has chocolate shavings on top. Come on ...give your honest opinions. It's my first try at these. So let me have it!
tlc26, no I don't mind. I just want to know how you did that? I need a book on cameras for Dummies! I can't find a really good place anywhere in my house to take good pics. I'll find somewhere though. I've got the next three days off to figure it out. Thanks for the help.
I did Kitty's marbled method again and this time it came out really nice, at least I think so. I also did 2 with the instructions on this site, I think they are by Allan. Would like some feedback. I like Kitty's method better, even though it is very messy, lol. Thanks all for the comments..... ahead of time.
Well, I thought I had it, but now that I've gone back through hereI see it's not even close. It did come out a little better in the metal mold. You are the experts here, so thank you for letting me know I goofed again. It's appreciated. Back to the drawing board I go. Thanks everyone!!
I finally did my first Rustic. I tried to get the fall colors in there. I also did one in a metal mold with the same colors, but it seemed to come out better in the poly mold. If anyone wants, I'll post the metal mold one, but I think it has the uglies.
Well, I tried Candle Kitty's Marbled method and it's going to take some practice to get it right. Yuo can only see the different color in a few spots. I'll have to try again. Practice, practice, practice, never give up!! I'll get it right.
Hi everyone! I bought a new camera today, so no more messy bed pics... lol I made one of Candle Kitty's marbles today so as soon as it's out of the mold, I'll take some pics of it and wait for everyone's comments. Will post later.
I did one of your water candles for an order and it turned out beter than I thought I could do. My camera takes lousy pics.. time to get an expensive , not cheap anymore. It's a Cream pillar, with lite blue and lite green on the bottom. It looks sooo much better in person. Sorry for the mess, but it's the only place I can get a half way decent pic.Thank you very much for the directions. You're wonderful!!
