northstargirl
Hello Everyone,After reading your posts for months, I finally poured my first candle a week ago. Tonight, after much waiting, I lit it. Generally, I'm pretty pleased for my first candle and think this will be a great hobby.I'm using wooden wicks because I really love their look and the crackling. Unfortunately, the crackling was very, very quiet. However, the scent throw was good.CB Xcelmedium wood wick6% FO Snowdrops2.5 x 3 over-sized votive containerI'm thinking I may have overwicked by one size, as these photos were taken after an hour of burn time. sisters3
WELL DONE!! Really attractive candle, and your first one!! Super! Sounds like you're on the right track with wicking down, although I don't use wooden wicks, I would have to agree with your decision that its over wicked, based on that quick MP. Keep going....beautiful product!
Stella1952
I'm not a wood wick fan either, but your candle looks pleasing - I especially like the container. Have fun and keep testing! :-)
