Bottlecrafters
This is probably a pretty subjective subject, but I wanted to get some feedback from the experts on how each of you measure things like Cold Throw, and Hot Throw.
rjdaines
Just with my nose. Sometimes I ask the wife but and daughter but all I get out of them is, "I think I smell it". Match the room to the candle diameter and try to keep drafts at a minimum.
jeanie353
I guess its easiest for me to sum up to say when you have good CT/HT you will know it.
Judy, USMC
This is the only way I know of to get to the old page about projects & tips. If you go to www.candletech.com the directory from 2009 is still there. Tips on how to do comparitive testing for throw is on the last page ... here's the link:http://www.candletech.com/general-information/comparing-scent-throw/Wonder if this is a sticky somewhere on this forum and I just haven't found it yet? 001
I light the candle in a 250 square foot room. When I re-enter the room about 1.5 hours later I judge the throw at that point, then again at 3 hours. If it hits me like a brick - strong throw. If it smells good, medium throw, if it is barely noticeable its trash.
NaturallyTru
Pretty much what 001 said. My son has final say on how strong it was; because my nose is fried.
