Dolphinbear
Just wondering if anyone has tried this bath cookie recipe from Natures Garden website. http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/mas_assets/pdf/bcookie.pdfAre they supposed to dissolve in the bath water? Mine does not completely dissolve, I used Almond Oil instead of Fractionated Coconut Oil because that's all I had on hand. The fragrance oil I used was Bite Me for one batch and the other batch was Pink Sugar, no body safe colorant was used.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!Thanks in advanceDolphinbeasr
HorseScentS
Those cookies are so cute! Maybe try it with the Fractionated Cocunut Oil next time? I hope it works for you, I love those!
Kitn
Did you crumble them under the running water like they said?
lauramw71
I'm thinking since there's no citric acid in this recipe it won't completely dissolve on it's own. Might be why they say to crumble before adding to the water. I might try these today since I took a snow day from work!
singleyellowrose
I would have to agree about the citric. You could "try" to add a small amount although I am not sure how it does when you bake it.
Dolphinbear
Thanks everyone!!I've tried many different ways, crumbling under running water and also crush the cookies into fine crumbs and then added to a hot bath. Still bits of cookies floating. I wondered about adding citric acid but I have never used this and wondered about baking it as well. I did order fractionated coconut oil. Other than floating cookies in the bath, it does feel very wonderful on my skin.
lauramw71
does it leave the tub oily?
singleyellowrose
It's basically a version of a bath bomb.I would revise it like this:2 cups finely ground sea salt 1 1/2 c1/2 cup baking soda 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/2 c Citric Acid2 tablespoon light oil (fractionated coconut oil) I would use regular coconut oil1 teaspoon vitamin E oil 2 eggs omit and replace with 2Tb oil1 oz. Sugar Cookie Fragrance Oil Suggested usage rate of Broad Spectrum Preservative I would omit this as long as each one is a single use item.Body safe soap colorantDon't bake them. Place in round mold. Make sure you compress them tightly. Decorate as desired. You may also want to spray the molds before hand with some PAM spray. Leave until somewhat hard and pop them out.
