jluper7297
I started playing around with wax dipped bears and my friends started buying them up like hotcakes! I decided to take the plunge and list one on ebay. Well, I got an order!! Here is my question, I live in Arizona. It's hotter than hell here right now! My buyer lives in Texas, I'm assuming it's equally hot there. What measures should I take to ensure that the bear arrives to my buyer looking nice and not melted?? Signature confirmation so my buyer has to pick it up at the PO??
Barb-Cec
I live in south florida and have shipped hundreds of them over the last 10 years -- never had one melt yet!I send them priority mail -- 2-3 days tops. You can always ship one to yourself to test it -- I would send it parcel post -- will still take 2 days - and see how it turns out. I use parasoy wax. jluper7297
Oh that's great to hear! I haven't heard anything from my buyer yet and tracking shows it was delivered 3 days ago, No news is good news I guess!
HorseScentS
How do you package the bears so they don't get all crushed up & full of wax dandruff?
Barb-Cec
I have never had wax dandruff on my bears -- must be the type of wax you are using.I put them on small plate in large cello bag -- in priority box and fill with poppers or foam peanuts or stuff with tissue paper. Something to fill box.Stamp fragile all over box also. Not that they don't throw them around but I think they might be a little more careful.Good luck
jluper7297
That's pretty much how I packed mine, I used packing paper instead of tissue paper. What kind of wax do you use? I've been using pillar votive wax.
Barb-Cec
I use my tart wax -- parasoy from KY -- works great! When I first started I used container wax -- big mistake - very sticky and messy.
