nwsoaper
Does anyone know why I would be getting this alligator streaking in my soap? Is this a temperature issue? Please help... Thank you

Stella1952
I dunno what happened, but I sure do like the look. Wonder if it'll do that every time?

Billie
Wow! You've made a Palm soap. J/K I don't know what caused it but I love it!Sometimes I'll measure and mix up a few batches at a time (masterbatching) if I know I'm going to be soaping. I just mix or shake before measuring out for each batch. If I don't warm the oils just a minute before mixing I can get strange things happening from the soap being too cold. Other times I like to blame the FO.
Scented
so is your palm the no stir kind? My guess is it's the braining of the palm as in it wasn't mixed in enough.
nwsoaper
I combine my oils in a larger pot to make sure they are blended before taking out the batch size per recipe. I've been having good success for about a year doing it this way, why would it start now?
Scented
Maybe it just didn't get mixed enough or maybe it was a new batch of palm. Maybe it reacted to something. Hard to say. That is what it looks likes though.
