B@BlissStreet
? Does anyone have help for the NG Ritzy shower gel they would share? I’ve tried about 5 scents, and everything thins it like crazy. Do I need a thickener if I want to use FO? Am I measuring this incorrectly? Using their recommendations. TheWickedWick
On NG's site they have a product called Xanthum Gum they say is used to thicken the gel when fo's thin it. Here's the link. HTH They also have a Facebook Page where you can ask questions and get help with their products.http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/candlemaking-soap-supplies/item/xanthum/-Xanthum-Gum--Natural-Thickener.html

Noodle
WOW! I use NG gel all of the time and it never thins. I do mix like crazy though until my arm feels like it is numb. I have never had a problem with any scent. I also have a tendency to "over" scent. Do you have any crothix on hand? B@BlissStreet
I got a Facebook response from NG recmmending xanthan gum. On the directions on their site, they mention using table salt, but give no measurements, so I guess I have to order some of that to try. Hope it comes with instructions! lauramw71
For the xanthan gum, it doesn't come with directions. But someone told me to use like 1/2 to 1 teaspoon to 8oz of base. Stir in well, but gently. Let it sit for a while, than stir again. Keep doing that until you see it completely dissolved. Also adding too much FO can thin out a base a LOT.HTH!Laura
