Ravens
First time trying my hand at lip balms, but have a problem with the shimmer I added. The lip balm base is from Bitter Creek, the Shimmer Dust ("glitter") is from AH (I thinks it's mica?), bought the tubes and filling tray from Elements.i noticed the Shimmer Dust tends to settle to the bottom. I add the Shimmer Dust while the base is liquid, stir a lot and then use a pipette to transfer the liqid t the tubes. If the Shimmer Dust sinks to the bottom the lip tubes as I fill them, does that mean all the glitter will just sink to the bottom and there'll be none at the top and middle? How can I achieve a uniform color and shimmer throughout the whole lip balm? TIA
Scented
You might try pouring at a more semi-solid consistency.
Guest Expressive
I agree. Pouring at cooler temperatures does not seem to hurt the final product so try that
