Bayberry Candles

I have a bunch of questions about Bayberry Candles (the ones where people put the legend along with them and such).

Sort of like these:

Questions:

Is it difficult to make taper candles that are bayberry scented?

What can you tell me about getting the box that these bayberry candles are in? Anyone know good sources for boxes like that?

Is there an "official" legend?

Any other ideas would be very helpful!

I use this saying for my bayberry wax tapers........I guess there are some variations.

"This bayberry candle is a gift from a friend,

on Christmas Eve burn it down to the end.

A bayberry candle burned down to the socket,

brings luck to the home and wealth to the pocket.”

I have been testing those heart shaped tins. They are very nice and make a nice candle. So far no leaks and no rust in them either.

I was wondering about the rust and if they were coated with something. Suppose I should find your thread to ask you about the wax and wick and everything.
