wookie130
I don't, personally. I melt my wax inside my pouring pot in a Presto Pot filled about halfway with water. I'll think you'll find that many do this, although surely some on here are using roasters.
Fern
Hey Wookie: Here's a heads up for you. You don't need to put water in your presto pot...you can melt the wax directly in the pot, that's why everyone uses them. Just thought you'd might want to know that. TreasureChestMemories
HI I use a roaster and the only tip I have is to cut your slab of wax into smaller pieces. OH and check the temp. these things are not real accutate. I have to set mine at 230 to get wax that is 200. Personally I love mine I put 2 slabs of wax in it at a time. It does take awhile to melt the first time. However, after you have melted it once. The remelt goes fairly quick.Goood Luck,Tammy
wvcandleguy
I use a roaster for my larger orders... found out that you can melt up to 18lbs fairly easily.... but it takes FOREVER... I agree with the other posts.. cut it up in smaller chunks and will help speed things a little... and wookie, you can melt wax directly in your Presto, then pour into your pour pot...speeds things up a little
