Lightning Bug
Hi. I hoped someone who had done it could help you, but since not yet, I decided to jump in. Using the search on this forum really will help you. I found these as well as others and thought they might help:http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54265&highlight=painting+candleshttp://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41150&highlight=painting+candles http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86358&highlight=painting+candles
Judy, USMC
Here's a link to a candle paint medium manufacturer. When I did the search nothing came up for candle painting ... but a bunch came up for the keyword "candle". You will just have to look for the painted candles amongst the candle holders.http://www.decoart.com/cgi-bin/Projects.cgiHTH
soshiegirl
I really like using Candle Deco Paint which I purchase at Marvy Uchida. It's colored liquid wax and it's easy to use because you use it like a pen.Good Luck!

Donita
Back when I was making painted candles.....the best luck I had was to put a couple of light coats of matte finish spray varnish on the wax. Let it dry and then just paint with acrylic paints. Worked great. Then I put a coat of UV resist over the paint to inhibit fading. Hope this helps.Donita
