Hi

I have just started making candles and want to paint them...there are so many types of paints and paint mediums...Can anyone tell me exactly what paint & paint medium to use and give me a quick tutorial...I would really appreciate it...

Thanks

Hi. I hoped someone who had done it could help you, but since not yet, I decided to jump in. Using the search on this forum really will help you. I found these as well as others and thought they might help:

I really like using Candle Deco Paint which I purchase at Marvy Uchida. It's colored liquid wax and it's easy to use because you use it like a pen.

Good Luck!

I have never heard of such critters.....thanks, I wanna try them :yay:

Back when I was making painted candles.....the best luck I had was to put a couple of light coats of matte finish spray varnish on the wax. Let it dry and then just paint with acrylic paints. Worked great. Then I put a coat of UV resist over the paint to inhibit fading. Hope this helps.
