rcrafty
I have left over prickly pear juice from making jelly so I thought I would make cp soap with the juice.Do you think I should add the lye to the juice or should I add the juice at trace? I want to try to retain the juice color if possible. :smiley2:
Sister Kya
The lye will take what it wants, including your color, even if you add it at trace. You can do it if it makes you feel better, but if it's gonna' morph it will still morph. Lye is active until saponification is complete, long after trace.Sorry.Sounds like a cool experiment though. Let us know how it turns out! topofmurrayhill
Personally I'd make sorbet. Mmmmm.
Kitn
I agree that the lye will take and do what it wants to , but it sounds like a very cool idea. Can't wait to see what you think about the soap if you make it.
