Melly
OK, im trying STILL to double wick 16oz apoth jars. I had 4 going yesterday, all were doing great, one seemed a little to hot, i figured it was overwicked. Today I relit them (5th burn, about 18 hours total burn time on each) and today all the flames are smaller, and its taking much longer to get a burn pool. They are still throwing great, i can smell them though a cold and candlenose. The flames are not close to drowning, just smaller. Is it normal for jars to lull at this point. If i wick up, the first burn times would have been much much to hot and would have most likley cracked the glass.
Melly
NM they are drowning now, moving in the wick on my easy wick setter to try again. Think i might have them spaced out to far
Asher
No one has been able to answer your question yet. I don't work with jars so I can't help, but I wanted to bump up the topic for you
deputy6512
I have had success with J223 and using 2 44-32z wicks on the 16oz apothecary. Last night I trimmed the wicks to short, and of course it didn't burn right, but other than that everything has worked fine in every scent I have tested so far (about 5). Melly
I have the wicks spread well over an inch and a half apart, which is a little to far I guess. I am going to try moving my easy wick setting in to the closer setting and seeing if this helps.
