jade
I'm wondering if those of you who use these notice any difference in the gelling of your soap. I put a silicone baking pan in a cardboard box and in a wooden soap mold. I had some soap overheat and some took longer to gell than in my paper lined wood mold. However, I did try some new FOs which could account for all of this.
asheebeans
I guess it would depend on the kind of soap being made. I've had a few batches overheat on me, but I think it was because I insulated the mold too much. I really do love the silicone lined molds and perish the thought of lining another mold!! Kitn
It depends on your recipe too, if you add milk or honey, the soap will heat up quite a lot. I find some FO's get hotter than others too.
