hem06
Can anyone help? I have made some gorgeous tapers, what is the best way to shave em down, and minimize the seam? TIA!
Margaritamama
I shave as much as I can with a knife, then I heat up that same knife and run it along the seam. Works great.........
SatinDucky
Or over-dipping them in a straight paraffin would probably give them a teriffic finish.

Scented
Sealing off all the sides and putting in a stand and transferring to a water bath oughta help minimize those seams too.
hem06
I bought a used mold, I seal it as best as possible but there is some shaving required.I use straight beeswax, so I do not want to overdip in parafin, but I will experiment....thank you all so much...I have these gorgeous tapers I will gift for Christmas, that I can be proud of!
