*Dee* Posted February 5, 2010 Share Posted February 5, 2010 and im getting nervous. im going to do my first batch of hp and cpop soap. i have never done anything other than mp.. i got everything i need now.. im hoping i dont get so nervous i forget something or screw something up. i am starting off with 2 different recipes. i already ran it through the soapcalc and have it all written down in grams on how much of what is needed. ahhhhhh how will i ever sleep tonight ??? *Dee* Posted February 5, 2010 Author Share Posted February 5, 2010 now i am just waiting for the soap in the crock pot to do its thing, its thick like butter right now, so im waiting to start seeing the seperation, apple sauce and mashed potato stages. i got my FO all measured and ready to go and my colorants ready. just waiting, waiting, and waiting lol, checking every 5-10 minutes.but the good thing is, i got passed the lye stage!! i kept repeating myself while doing it, i am not scared of lye, im am not scared of lye, i respect you ect ect lol i have to laugh but it really calmed me down doing that. *Dee* Posted February 5, 2010 Author Share Posted February 5, 2010 batch #1 is done and molded, i dont have to cover it or anything right ?batch# 2 is cookin'. hopefully i can remember the FO i doubled this batch size, and ran it through the soap calc just to be sure. does anyone elses stick blender get really hot ?? i mean like almost burning your hands? man i had to keep switching hands for the 5-10 minutes of blending. when i was done and took my rubber gloves off my hands were beat red.
