Another question about seized soap

So if a soap seizes right after you add the FO is it still safe to use? I think I only hand stirred it for about a min.

you added the FO after the lye and oils were mixed right??

if you moved quick enough and it made it into the mold it should be ok..

if the lye and oils were already on their way to being saponified you should be all in the clear

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago, it was my first massive acceleration. I swear it was applesauce before I blinked. I had put my FO into the oils first, then it accelerated as I put in my lye mix. I had all of a couple of seconds to mix it. Scooped it into the mold.

It was meat soap, I name it boiled Spam. had large white globs in it after I unmolded it. REALLY Ugly, put it passed the Zap test and is has actually darkened up to be acceptable. I think you'll just have to wait and see,if it passes testing.

Just do a zap test when you unmold it , no zap = good soap.
