Lisa
Used a 3 x6.5 with a 24 ply wick and i lite it for 3 hrs then again for about 2 hrs, it is burning basically on only one side. What is causing it to not burn the right way? Hope i explain that right. Use IGI 1343.Thanks

eugenia
Lisa, Perhaps there is a draft? That would explain burning to one side. e

MaryinCary
Wick pins can be bent also. I always make sure they are dead center in that mold before I pour. Woops...theres the picture. Posted at the same time kiddo....looks like it was off center to me. Straighten your wick pins girlie!
Lisa
K girly But how do i straighten it?
MaryinCary
When I put the pin in the mold (I do mine from the bottom with mold sealer) I look in the mold to be sure it's straight. If it's not you can manipulate the pin pretty well while its inside the mold. Just push it toward the center. It's kind of like centering a christmas tree in the base. Push to one side, eyeball it, push to the other....you'll get it!
Lisa
I got it, i think i will have to get some mold sealer. As i think it would be the easiest.
wvcandleguy
I agree. looks like the wick is off center. Another tip is to turn your candle every so often, just in case there is a draft. That way it will burn more evenly. HTH
Margaritamama
I got it, i think i will have to get some mold sealer. As i think it would be the easiest.Yup, that's what I do. I put a bunch on mold sealer at the bottom of the pin, set my mold on that, and manipulate in until it's straight.....
